About this listen

Where do most of your guests hang out when you have a social event? Of course in the kitchen!

When you take the time to put meals together from the fundamental ingredients, you have a mystical open door at hand. You can infuse every dish with intent and will. The feed can quit being something you dump out of a can, and start being a ritual in and of itself.

When you take the time to plan something with your own hands, it lands holiness to the dinner. It will make you want to spend time savoring it with your family as opposed to merely snarfing it down on your way out the door to soccer practice. Viewing nourishment this way, its preparation, and its utilization, you can make some practical enchantment at its simplest level.

Take a moment to think about your kitchen. It's probably disregarded and undervalued; however, some genuinely magical things happen in this way. The blessings of the earth are transformed and combined into creations that nourish and advantage your body. That's pretty slick!

Here it is what you will find inside this book:

  • How to become a kitchen witch
  • Who can be a kitchen witch
  • Important kitchen witchery tools
  • Understand witchcraft gardening
  • Kitchen witch recipes
  • Magical brews and potions
  • Fifty ways to pamper yourself

buy the print book

Wonderful, quirky and fun content is destroyed by the most horrible and unprofessional narration I've ever heard. Her fluency is similar to listening to my dyslexic 4th grader attempting a grade- level passage for the first time-complete with rampant mispronounciations, awkward pauses and extreme variations in speed. The fake accent, reminiscent of Effie Trinket from Hunger Games, fades to mush-mouth American with indigestion, including pauses in the reading to burp (chapter 5). Audible mouse-clicks highlight the abysmal editing which overlooks the reader backing away from the microphone for several words during the course of a sentence (again, chapter 5). The reader owes the author an apology for ruining her book.

More of a health book

It is more of a health book, just a few rid bits nothing necessarily magical.

Narrator not great

I love the content of the book. However, the narrator made it nearly impossible to listen to. She seems to be very unfamiliar with the content, and mispronounced several words and phrases in the text. It was a very wooden performance, with little to no inflection in her voice at all. I can't honestly say I would listen to this narrator again. Is there no proofreading?

Speaker mispronounced words. Don't know where sentences end. Just couldn't follow correctly. PDF needed for recipes.

informative & safety-minded, but so-so narration

covers the history & culture of modern witchery to begin with, and I bought this book mostly as research, so that was nice.

there isn't much regulation in the self help/ improvement/ spiritually/diy genres, so I was pleasantly surprised by the warnings, from "candles cause a significant amount of house fires" to "do not use any plant you have not positively identified".

there's a few recipes near the end as well, but that's less helpful to me in an audio medium.

unfortunately, the narration was... not great. the lady had a fine voice, but she paused several times, and repeated herself a few others-- these should have been edited out. between the occasional silence and her slow reading, I ended up turning my playback up to 1.75 speed, which I rarely do.

still, it didn't ruin my experience. it didn't make me like the book any less. just wish the narration had seen a bit more finishing.

Needs new Narrator!!!

OMG!!!! the narrator of this book is horrible. I tried to listen for a while hoping it would get better but it doesn’t. She stops in the middle of the sentences she can’t figure out the words that are right in front of her. It’s very distracting. Today I saw this title with a different narrator I suggest getting that one.

Yeah, no

First thing it talks about is Wicca and how kitchen witchery is entrenched in Wicca. I stopped because while to each his own, I totally dislike the notion that anything is of Wicca. Wicca is new and has few rights to exclusivity.

Don’t waste your money

The narrator cannot pronounce a lot of the words in this book and struggles to read it. I couldn’t get past the 1st chapter because it was so hard and frustrating to listen to
