Critic reviews

"The stakes are high, the action is fierce, and the peculiar core concept of a werewolf with a talk show miraculously continues to work." ( Publishers Weekly)

Great conclusion to the series :)

4.5-5 stars

This was a great story and conclusion to the series. I don't want to go into too many details about what happens...let's just say that the long game ends. At the end of the previous book, Low Midnight, Cormac had a possible way to get to Roman and in this story they try to take advantage of this. Things don't go the way they might wish but it starts something that brings Kitty and friends into a major showdown with Roman and the person controlling Roman. Kitty and Co have to go through some desperate situations in order to get through it but they manage and the story ends with a HEA all around.

I enjoyed this story (and series) greatly. I really loved Kitty as a heroine and was very happy with her throughout the series. Ben made a really good partner for her. He was strong when needed but was more of a support for Kitty rather than trying to take control of things himself. Together they made a great couple..at times I wished for a little more steam between them but it didn't usually bother me since this isn't really that sort of a series. I also loved how Kitty is with her friends and how she will go out of her way to do the right thing. While I liked how things ended, I am going to miss this series. I'd definitely recommend this series. :D

Very satisfying finale

The great struggle between Kitty and Roman gets wrapped up delightfully. Kitty remains true to herself, compassionate and curious. With the help of her friends from throughout the series. she saves the world.

Another awesome Kitty!

Carrie Vaughn does it again with another Kitty novel. Took a twist that I didn't see coming (though I did get the Lightman reference immediately and was like Oh Snap!). I could go on and on about how great these books are and list the reasons but as I am not a writer I will just say that I really appreciate the kind of character growth that happens in this series. Also I have to give a shout out to Marguerite Gavin, I love her performances, all of them, from every series!

The End Of The Long Game

Carrie Vaughn did a very good job of concluding this series. Kitty Saves the World stayed true to the series and it's characters. I am very pleased with the entire series.

Bye bye Kitty???

I really hated to see this series end. I hope there are more stories coming from other characters. I hope to see more of Kitty and Ben in them. I hate saying goodbye to characters I love!!!

**Reviews courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy**

It's always a bittersweet affair when one of your favorite series comes to a close. I've been listening to the Kitty Norville series for the past three years, so I haven't been following the series since its inception, but it still feels like it's over too soon. That being said I was worried when Carrie Vaughn introduced the idea of "the long game" that the series would start to drag or become repetitive. I did not ever find that too be the case, and I feel that KITTY SAVES THE WORLD is the perfect ending to such an amazing series.

I'm amazed at how well Carrie Vaughn put together the final book in the Kitty Norville series. There were so many things that I wanted to see happen, and I'm pretty sure that all of them happened. The book starts out where Kitty has always belonged, behind the microphone on her talk show. Kitty's talk shows have always been a highlight of every book for me. I was so fascinated with the original idea of a werewolf talk show host, and that was why I loved the first book, Kitty and the Midnight Hour, so much.

If you had a favorite character in the series, that hadn't died, than you're almost guaranteed to see that character in KITTY SAVES THE WORLD. For me Kitty Norville has always been about the characters, watching them grow and seeing new ones come into play. So I was worried that some of my favorite characters wouldn't get an appearance in the last book, just because there were so many characters in this series. Carrie Vaughn did an great job of bringing all the characters back together and giving them all important roles to help Kitty stop Roman and the apocalypse.

I could go on for many paragraphs about this book. I'm often disappointed with the final book of a series. There are so many things that I want to see and so many plots to tie up, most authors just don't do it that well. Carrie Vaughn wrapped up all the major plot lines and pulled everything together in the end. KITTY SAVES THE WORLD is probably my favorite final book in any series that I've read. I highly recommend KITTY SAVES THE WORLD.

Notes on the Audiobook: Though I did receive and ARC copy of KITTY SAVES THE WORLD. I still had to listen to it as well when the audiobook came out. I've listened to every other Kitty book so I couldn't not listen to the last one. Marguerite Gavin does an amazing job with these series, and her voice will always be Kitty's in my mind. The only thing that could make the audio better is if they actually played Bad Moon Rising before the Midnight Hour.
