Publisher's summary

Years ago Lady Louisa Windham acted rashly on a dare from her brother, and that indiscretion is about to come to light. She knows her reputation will never survive exposure. Just as she's nearly overwhelmed by her dilemma, Sir Joseph Carrington offers himself to her as a solution.

But Sir Joseph has secrets as well, and as he and Louisa become entangled with each other, their deceptions begin to close in on them both.

A lovely Christmas listen

Another nice, gentle love story from Grace Burrowes, who does them so well. And I like her narrator, James Langton but he does tend to make some of the male voices too growly which makes them sound, to me at least, like they are old men! I listened to this while doing my Christmas baking and it was just right! It's always so nice and so comfortable to spend some time with the Wyndhams.

A Lovely Story

I always enjoy Grace Burrowes’ novels, and this one didn’t disappoint. I’m planning to go start a the beginning of the Wyndham’s saga.

Burrows at her best!

Best in the series by far, probably Burrows best work yet! I’ve read them all, but this is the best one.

Lady Louisa and her knight

Now, this book I enjoyed it more than the last 2. It’s sweet and romantic. I also like the H and HH and side cast members.

👍🏻👍🏻 I recommend this book and I hope you will too.

Now only if I could find my knight like the H.🤤

Good!

Best book of the series so far. Not as funny as book one, but the FMC is so much better. She is smart, sassy, strong, and self-assured all the way through. And her male counterpart is the epitome of a real man! Unlike a couple of the previous books, this story does not center around sex. Yes, there are a couple of sexy scenes, but they don't take over the entire plot of the book. The narration was terrific!

Love this series of books some of it is so real as to couples marriage and insecurities

Love this series of books, it shows the importance of both people making a relationship. Some of the things written remind me how great a good marriage relationship is. Really like the male characters

Best of all the Windham

I’ve read the whole series of Windham books and loved them all, the characters, the great narration, the stories. I’m so in love with the Windham family This book had all in it, the storyline was delightfully woven, there was some very exciting moments. I hope Grace Burrowes brings us more tales of these great people.
