Must listen for those who suffer with GAD

Having suffered with GAD for a number of years I wanted to learn more about it rather than just taking sertraline to manage the symptoms. This audible was really insightful and each chapter has lots of really useful information. The stand out chapter for me was about stop overthinking. Most of my GAD is because of my overactive mind and it really helped hit home that overthinking is something that I need to tackle and it really helped. Highly recommended.

Manage panic attack when fear overwhelmed.

When anxiety and panic attacks regularly affect a person's life, a psychotherapist can provide support, reassurance, and counseling.

Panic disorder is commonly treated with psychotherapy (sometimes called "talk therapy"). Plus, it's all about training your mind so you can calm your thoughts.

It is not affordable to arrange a psychotherapist for yourself, but still, if you want to take yourself out of this stage, then there are self-proven techniques that the writer mentioned in this book that will help you to open your mind.

Deal WIth It

I know someone who has suffered from GAD. I never have, but I do have anxiety from time to time. It tends to be a result of an overactive mind or just overthinking in general. This audiobook has a chapter about stopping overthinking which really resonated with me. Depression can also be debilitating but the author provides tips and techniques to calm fears, panic attacks, and depression. Some of which is by identifying what triggers these to take place.

There are techniques how to train your mind and calm your thoughts. I personally like to set my mind on whatever is good, pure, lovely, excellent, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). This book has other ways to overcome these obstacles which I found useful. It even has a PDF of the ebook that you can download so you can go over those techniques, activities, and practical applications. The narrator was calming voice too.

Anxiety is a normal part of life until it's not

GAD with panic attacks can be terrifying and life-altering. I personally think it stems from ADHD for me, my mind just never stops, even when I desperately want it to. Regardless, I’ve never wanted just to take a pill to combat these issues. I want useful tools to help me understand what’s really going on, learn my triggers, and deal with them in a healthy way. I especially like the chapters on overthinking, sleeping, and dealing with suicidal thoughts. Recommend for anyone struggling

Know Thyself

That quote really struck me as I read this book. It is full of insight and experience related to the reader to help us learn or validate what we may already know deep inside. This is certainly a serious topic and we can open our minds to learn to be mindful, positive, and live life with gratitude.

I’d encourage anyone to read this book to become more educated on what experts know, medically as well as sociologically. Ultimately we look within ourselves as well to learn to stop overthinking. We can find ways to live life more skillfully, with joy, humor, and all the possibilities of being more healthy of mind.
