This works

Where does Dare rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best books on a new approach to anxiety and it is the only one that worked for me.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dare?

I had really given up on getting better with my panic attacks and resigned myself to just live in my small world as best as I could. I met a woman who had a different approach to anxiety, she had me get Reid Wilson's book and I found Dare after that. They are giving the same new way and it WORKS! Dare makes it simple and easy to understand. It is not easy but it is simple. Once you stop fighting to get away from your anxious thoughts and make the inner shift to run towards them, they lose their power. For me Defuse and Run towards D and R of DARE were what I was missing. I could white knuckle my way thru any exposure but never got better, and I got Claire Weeke's message to allow years before. But I would argue with myself the whole time I did exposures. Defuse from the thoughts baby Allow the symptoms, Run towards the anxious thoughts or Request more anxiety and Engage in what is happening at that moment. And keep doing it. I can do things that used to freak me out and don't get panic attacks now, I even enjoy them again. I am not cured, and still have a ways to go to be grateful for my anxiety but I see I could be grateful for it. I have my DARE bracelet to always remind me what to do when start slipping back into my old stinking thinking and the Facebook page is great too.

Very helpful

This book helped me a lot with my anxiety and anxiety related problems. I found that it is written in a way that is very easy to read/ listen to especially when I had high levels of anxiety. When you experience anxiety it's even harder to focus but when I listened to this as an audiobook I find that out was very helpful to understand things that are not easy for the rational mind to understand during anxiety. Also, it has very direct and practical advices that one can follow immediately and it is accompanied by a free app with guided exercises that was helpful as well. Good luck with your Anxiety problems - you will eventually overcome them for sure.

BEST PROGRAM OUT THERE!<br />

Barry doesn't miss a thing. Through his own experience with anxiety and panic he has created a program that works. DARE is life changing and his support groups are beyond anything you could ever hope for or imagine. if you suffer with anxiety or panic disorder you have to DARE!

A Must for everyone with Anxiety

I am a mindfulness practitioner and yet got into a cycle of very intense anxiety after a burn out from some big life challenges and transitions. This method really puts mindfulness into practice in a way that is so easy. It made me realize I wasnt fully applying what I needed. it works! For me right away. For some it may take longer if all of this is new to you so be patient with your own journey. And it is a continuous process. I continue to apply the Dare method daily and it has use beyond anxiety. its really for all doubt, worries and fears.

yes this is an old method based on the work of Claire Weekes. I have to say I am glad I am not your patient. This is written for people with anxiety. These people are scared of the symptoms you mention. I think it is helpful that he tries to comfort the reader.

and he does say in the beginning to see a medical professional when you have other concerns

As you know for example schyzofrenia runs in families and very very often it appears around 20. The one percent that gets this later, is NOT something someone with anxiety needs to know. I am so fed up with psychiatrists like you with zero empathy towards a sufferer. If someone has PTSD there are also other symptoms. Same with COPD.

I agree that Barry tries to hard to make money with this method, but it works. If you want to know more about the base of this method, read Claire Weekes or Srew Linsalata.

Very helpful !

I was amazed how most of my anxiety symptoms are in this book! There are time when Barry is describing something and I can relate. I think this book saved me from anxiety and how to welcome it and overcome it.
