Publisher's summary
As a teen or young adult, you want to be trusted to be independent. In order to be independent, there is a lot to learn and taking it one step at a time is the best approach. I mean you may want to organise your life, set goals and see them to completion. All these require learning how to as there are steps you take to guarantee success. As the saying goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
There are skills that also set you up for the future such as managing money, budgeting, saving and investing. These skills are important as you need to start early to make a big impact. You don’t want to look back like many people do and say I wish I started early. The interesting thing is these skills are not taught in schools either so the chance that someone will sit you down to educate you is low.
Healthy eating habits for instance need to be cultivated early as you will take them into adulthood. As for life-saving skills, skills like knowing how to perform first aid can be a lifesaver, as you never know when you may need it so best to learn it.
Goal setting is a big one and there are steps you can take to guarantee success. To be an achiever, you must continually set goals, especially SMART goals. You will learn how to set goals and execute them.
Leadership and social skills are equally important to thrive as adults. In life, you deal with people so having social skills to find your way around people will do you a lot of good. The skills you need are discussed and how to develop them if you don’t already have them
This book is written as a guide and there are chapters with reflection to ponder upon what you have learned and ways to apply the knowledge.

Story
We are seeing more women in the workforce than ever before, but despite reaching high-paying successful positions, women struggle with growing their wealth and maintaining finances. Most of the time, this struggle stems not from the inability to monitor and budget the money; rather, it originates from the lack of education and recourses that are available for young women or women in general. For some, financial education might be Everest, but even the most dangerous mountains can be conquered with the right information, patience, and resilience.

If you’re interested in making money with stocks, you’re not alone. A recent Gallup poll showed that nearly 6 in 10 American adults have money in the stock market. But unless you’ve previously worked as an investment banker, you might have better odds of making money at the casino than with stocks. In fact, researchers from the University of California found that 90 percent of retail investors and day traders lose money. Which is why most people think winning in the stock market is simply a game of chance.

Perfect for any teen or adult needing help with practical skills
Great for any teen or young adult. Budgets and saving alone make this book worth the money. If you do what the author says it would make the rest of your adult life so much easier. The emotional intelligence and goal setting sections are also are important and any adult would benefit from implementing these concepts. The auto and home care sections are also great for anyone who may have not been taught these things from a parent or other family member. They are all easy skills to learn and instill a sense of pride to taking care of things yourself.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR THE YOUNG ADULT!
Oh, how I wish I'd had this information when I was a teen (so long ago.)
It's appalling that schools fail to teach this valuable information, instead focusing on which person can use which bathroom and other "woke" doctrines. It's also sad that so few parents have the awareness and the motivation to teach their children these basics!
Goal setting is crucial for any meaningful progress in life, and this skill is well-covered along with tips on how to make it work for YOU.
I know I pretty much ignored healthy eating when I was young, and wish I'd been taught the basics of a diet that promotes health and well-being. Avoiding health problems later in life is a good idea. This is covered as well without getting "preachy."
The basics of car and home maintenance are illustrated, taking a lot of guesswork out of both and saving considerable money in the process.
And who taught me about money & budgeting? I learned the hard way. But if I'd had his chapters on money, budgeting, saving and investing, my life would have turned out considerably different. And far more secure.
Leadership skills are also outlined. While not everyone is cut out to take on such a role, knowing the dynamics that go into being an effective, inspirational leader is knowledge that won't go to waste.
Learning to develop one's social skills, especially in today's arena where everyone's face is buried in their cell phone, will definitely give the young adult a leg up. That, coupled with emotional intelligence allows for MUCH smoother sailing through the shoals of personal and professional relationships.
I highly recommend this book to any young adult who wants a head start on life!

Life skills for teens and young adults 5 stars!
Great book full of resources, it basically covers everything, it's like a how to survive in the world as a teenager.
I loved the emotional intelligence chapter where you learn how to control your own emotions - self management, self awareness and relationship management. It's important to understand that there is a connection between our emotions and the way we behave.
"Life Skills for Teens and Young Adults" by OA Inc. is an excellent audiobook that provides practical advice on how to manage various aspects of adult life. The book covers a wide range of topics, including finance, cooking, cleaning, home and car maintenance, and first aid.
One of the strengths of this audiobook is its clear and concise format. The chapters are well-organized and easy to follow, making it accessible to listeners of all levels. The narrator's voice is engaging and easy to listen to, which makes it an enjoyable experience.
Another strength of this audiobook is its emphasis on practical advice. The author provides detailed instructions on everything from creating a budget to cooking healthy meals to changing a tire. The information is presented in a way that is easy to understand and implement, making it an invaluable resource for teens and young adults who are just starting out on their own.

A Book Every Teen Should Read
Great resource for any teen to learn practical skills and common sense wisdom! The author discusses goal setting, which is the most important skill, I believe, to being fulfilled, happy, and well-adjusted. He goes into great detail as to how to plan and set reasonable goals. I also appreciate the important section on the habits of healthy eating, and includes what foods contain healthy nutrients, and which ones don't. Fixing a car, managing money, CPR, and yard maintenance are also addressed. I think the most useful topics for teens are included in this book. I recommend it. Great for parents too!
