About this listen
A story of how one man, born of humble means, migrated to the United States of America during the Noriega regime.
Born with a physical handicap, illegal, and undocumented for 21 years, he was determined to enter mainstream American society and corporate America and overcame insurmountable odds to achieve unimaginable heights. His journey had a spiritual awakening that changed his life.
After assimilating into corporate America, he set sales records and felt a calling to reach others in his race who were shut out and who also aspired to become productive citizens in the United States of America. He ultimately started the "I Am Latino" movement. Finally gaining legalization, C-Ray Stanziola went on to be a talented musician, actor, minister, father, husband, and leader of an international movement.
An uplifting story that will inspire you to take a look at your own immigration experience, your future, and how you too can achieve the American Dream.

Story
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Story
Infidelity, deceit, distrust, and shame. Unfortunately, these are recurring themes in many of today's marriages in America - even in the family-values-promoting, Christian-based Robertson family. With a romance that began in junior high, the couple got off to a rocky start but soon settled into married life and had two baby girls. Alan became a pastor in the church where his family had been members for years. Then, when Lisa had an affair, the heartache and the tension was very public.

Story
Life - if you've ever thought you might be doing it wrong, you're not alone. Objects in the Mirror: Thoughts on a Perfect Life from an Imperfect Person is a collection of essays that explores what it means to be alive. Like Polaroids framing the years of a troubadour and family man afflicted with an excess of self-awareness, these are stories without any clear good guys or bad guys. Instead, in each of these vignettes you will find dysfunctional humans trying to do their best and bouncing off each other in the process.

Story
In Recovered, pastor and author Robby Gallaty tells the story of how God radically saved him from his addictions and called him into a life of discipleship. Robby grew up in a very religious Catholic family who attended church every Sunday and confession on Saturday if needed. Very rarely did he miss a Saturday night dinner and a movie with his parents and sister Lori. You can imagine how devastated they were when Robby stole $15,000 from them to fuel his drug addiction.

Story
People who are not in the habit of talking with the dead have a hard time imagining what Matt Fraser’s life is like. Based on the questions he gets, they seem to think he spends most of his time sitting cross-legged in a trance, maybe hovering a few inches off the ground, leaving his physical body behind as he journeys across the veil to the spirit realm. But it’s not like that at all.

Eye opener
This audiobook has opened my eyes to the fact that not everyone that is a Christian lives life the same. I am not an immigrant but I am a Christian. The life of C-Ray is in no way the way I would live my Christian life. But I am not here to judge. I was given this audiobook and asked to leave an honest review. So that is what I am going to do and try and leave my personal feelings out of it. The book is an easy listen, it is not sexually explicit or vulgar. I truly feel that you should give this book a chance. I will say it has changed the way I see immigration in this country but not in a better way. The narrator Seth Char does an okay job of reading this story. This is my own words and honest review.
