Asher

Hockey, studying, and school runs. That's my life now. After a tragic accident that took our parents' lives, it's up to me and my big brother to take care of our five younger siblings. In between burning their meals and keeping them from killing each other, I'm supposed to get a college degree. If I don't get my grades up, I'm in danger of losing the one thing that makes me happy: my spot on the hockey team.

Which is why when the new equipment manager offers to tutor me, I really can't afford to say no. Even though I should. He's Coach's son and way too tempting.

Kole

As this year's equipment manager for Dad's hockey team, I'm expected to deal with sweaty jock straps and herding hockey players to their rooms at away games. The job is easy, but babysitting Asher Dalton is not supposed to be a part of it. So why, when his brother asks me to keep an eye on him, do I agree? Why, when he's struggling in classes, do I offer to help? And why, when we're studying, do I suggest a reward system that lands us squarely in bed?

Asher's trouble, I know he is. But there's something about him that makes it impossible to stay away.

Contains mature themes.

The CU Hockey series gets better and better. I absolutely love these stories. I freakin love narrators, they are both perfect for their characters. I can't wait and I am anticipating the next story.

"Any day that ends in apple pie can't be terrible" thank you Kole 😘. I really loved this one...maybe because it involved two older brothers trying to hold a family of 5 kids together after the death of their parents and the two older brothers still have dreams and goals of their own. The Christmas fiasco had me lauging out loud and the family scene near the end had me tearingbup. I loved how Kole and Asher were together...they just fit and knew each other so well. As much as I enjoyed "little or mini Dalton"...a very large part of me kept eating up the scenes featuring big brother Westly *sigh* Thank you #IgXander....Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese are wonderful performers for this series

5 stars - worthy of a repeat listen

Another wonderful addition in this series!!

I am loving this whole series and this is just another book that has wormed its way into my heart. Asher and Kole were adorable and cheeky and ugh I love their banter with each other. Seeing Asher open up more with him was precious and amazing. Kole wasn’t afraid to call him out and was just there for him. I love them and I can’t write this review without spoiling everything for everyone 😂 I am obsessed with these boys and I will take no criticisms ever 😂

The narrator for Asher is perfect! Boston accent nails the character. I was already a fan of the book and now I can enjoy audio too!

Perfect casting!

Was looking forward to this book being released to audible. Totally enjoying it. These two are so good together.

Read this series first.

This was by far the funniest book in the Series so far.

Also love the sort-of forbidden romance and how Asher's wall were slowly brought down by Kole.

Also I'm a sucker for big emotional scenes, so Asher's chapter was also pretty great.

Hilarious!

So first let me say that Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma both did a fantastic job narrating and bringing these characters to life. They have quickly become one of my favorite duos in creating a world you can fall into, and I felt the chemistry between the two characters in their vocal performances. As for the story, I enjoyed it a lot as well. It was so well written, humorous, steamy and filled with heart. Asher and Kole were just perfection together. My only complaint with this story is the last chapter did not really feel like a last chapter. Though it left you with the impression their future was bright the story just felt unfinished to me. When the tagline came on saying it “This has been an audible…” I was taken back, and just thought that’s the end? I feel like this needed at least one more chapter. Hopefully in the brother’s story there will be more of a bookend of Asher and Kole just to feel like the story is complete.

Fantastic Story That Ended Abruptly

I was completely hooked from the moment I hit play. Line Mates pulled me in right away, and I found myself listening every single morning while getting ready for work. The narration was fantastic, the voices brought the characters to life, and the story had the perfect mix of tension, chemistry, and emotion.

It quickly became my favorite part of the day. Now that it’s over, I honestly feel a little lost—like I just said goodbye to people I wasn’t ready to let go of. Easily one of the best MM hockey romances I’ve listened to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something that will make you feel everything.

Addicted from the first listen!

Undoubtedly Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese are a great narrating duo and really Alexander here was magnificent, especially in the scene were Asher was crying all over Kole and West.

This made me laugh, like A LOT! But it made me cry as well!

Asher's story is a heartbreaking one. The front he puts out there to keep himself safe from more hurt is that of a porcupine! I'll hurt you to hurt me but I don't care because that pain is superficial and keeps the pressure lead on. Kole doesn't buy Asher's attitude, he challenges him straight on with sarcasm and Asher seeing that Kole doesn't take the bait he deflates quickly.

These two are so good together and perfect for each other! Incredible banter, witty exchanges, communication and chemistry OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS!!!

The ending is the beginning of their future and a strong HFN because to me it didn't feel as a HEA, especially since Asher and Kole's dreams for the future didn't exactly align in the family department. As much as Kole thought and said about a house and a yard for Hades it seemed tentative at best. So yes these two together now are going strongly but I'm skeptical in how they'll be in 10-15 years, hence the half the star off. I think an epilogue in a few years time would have helped but maybe that would have spoilered West's story.

A lot of laughs but I lot of tearing up as well!
