About this listen

Lola Barnes only wants one thing: to get her life under control. No more chasing alphas who abuse and toss away betas like her. No more hiding in her cousin’s apartment licking wounds that won’t heal. Armed with her dream job and her less than dreamy apartment, Lola is ready to start a new chapter of her life without alphas. But that’s easier said than done when one stumbling incident after another leads Lola closer to an alluring pack of captivating men.

These alphas are everything Lola dreamed of, but they already have an omega - a playful male model who won’t stop flirting with her. And Lola is only a beta, one who comes with deep scars and an unshakeable aversion to alphas and their powerful presences. If only she could resist their perfect beta, Leo, whose patience and determination to see her heal breaks down one wall after another.

When the alpha who all but destroyed Lola tries to start a game of cat and mouse that’s all claws, the safest place for Lola may be the one she’s most terrified of, in the arms of an alpha pack.

Spectacular

I love omega verse books so much and this one was a refreshing new take on a beta as the main female character instead of the omega!

I loved the dual POV and the narrators did an amazing job! The voices were perfect and I can’t wait to get to the next book!

Such a soft and sweet why choose!

Buddy read with the bestie, Debbie.

Adorable isn't exactly the word I would use when I am thinking of a reverse harem but that is exactly what comes to mind with Lola & the Millionaires. This story was so full of all the happy and beautiful feelings for Lola and what I am hoping is going to become her pack.

This book wasn't just sweet and happy feelings though, the flashbacks that Lola had about wrecked me. Every moment I was like "good for you babe" her intrusive thoughts on the past would come in and shatter any progress she had started to make with herself. Talk about heartbreaking.

We talk about strong women and why we love them but what about the women who had to go through the heartbreak and chaos before they could get to strong? That is Lola, I think she is going to come back swinging and I am entirely here for it.

Then the men, and yes, they were all entirely men. Not boys. Lola has had her fair share of boys and now she knows what it is like to have a man, or in this case several.

Matthieu kind of owns my heart right now but from what I am being told the tide might shift and by the end of book two I might be rooting for another one.

Rake and Leo were who Lola needed when she was at her most vulnerable and now that she is coming into herself, Matthieu is the one to help to do that. While I don't know too much about Wes, Cyrus, and Caleb yet I am hoping to get to know them better in book two.

Melissa Schwairy and Jarman Day did a wonderful job with narration but Melissa Schwairy kind of stole the show for me on this one. She was able to back those vulnerable moments up with a perfect crack to her voice and her happy moments were projected through her voice as well. I am glad I have a new female narrator to add to my repertoire.

Beyond ready for book two with Lola and her millionaires because I think there are still plenty of good times to be had while also taking down the man who is tormenting Lola from afar.

Must have for RH fans!!!

I love the narrators!
The world building done by Kathryn Moon is phenomenal! This is an instant addiction book that is a gateway drug to the entire series!
Reverse harem, sweet alphas, contemporary style with non human tendencies, fast burn, very steamy!!!

So good! Fun, well written RH🌶️

The whole series was a great read/listen (including ‘Baby and the howlers’.) Unique enough storyline that I was engaged from the start. It didn’t feel like a cut and paste RH trope.
Extremely spicy 🌶️ throughout and the
narration is great.

one of my favs

I've read physical copies of Lola half a dozen times at this point and I'm trying to get on board with listening to audiobooks occasionally so I thought this would be a good book to try since I know it so well. The story is perfection as always. The female narrator was...fine. I think a story with so many love interests is going to be difficult to narrate no matter what, with all the different voices. Having the male narrator narrate the chapters in the men's perspectives helped for sure. But the French and British accents of Matt and Caleb really weren't done that well and it ruined their characters for me a little. I'm going to listen to part 2 and just cross my fingers that the narration gets better for me.

I love the sauce!

The spice level was amazing but with all the different partners, I did get a little lost in some scenes, but nothing a little re-read, and a Reddit dive won’t fix

Lovely story

This is probably my favourite out of all the sweetverse books and I keep wanting to reread it. This time I bought the audio and went for a comfort listen! The narrators do an exquisite job capturing the characters and emotions.

Overall Pretty good listen; great story

this is my favourite of Kathryn Moon's sweet omegaverse series. I was super annoyed with Lola in the first one. but I love her character in Lola and the Millionaires. and the guys!! hot damn.

my personal favourites are Mathieu and Wes (but that's cos I preferred the older and bigger guys. ha!)
the narration was pretty good and pleasant to listen to.

This would have probably been a 4.5-5 star, but they americanized Mathieu's name and (I assume Jarman Day) butchered the french accent!!!! It was more of a Spanish(?) accent and I kept imagining Antonio Banderas.

Great readers

Great start to the story, but where is part 2? That's frustrating.
The readers did a very good job except the bad guy sounds like the cartoon bully on just about every cartoon ever made. Other than that, everyone else sounds great. Pretty sure I have the hots for Matt just from his voice. 😏 There's still a lot of sex, but this one has more about the relationship dynamics. I find that more appealing.
