About this listen

Lord James Harrington and his wife, Beth, are taking a well-earned holiday with Stephen and Anne in Polpennarth, Cornwall, where the Cornish Legends festival is taking place.

James learns that during the opening procession, a local fisherman vanished, and when further men disappear in broad daylight, he can't help but put his sleuthing hat on. The streets were crowded, yet no witnesses have come forward.

If they were kidnapped, why is there no ransom demand? What are the flashing lights off the coastline? Have the Cornish Legends really come to life? James delves into the mystery, but his questions come at a price.

The Cornish Coast

I have not traveled far from home in the USA. I long to travel. So I go by way of reading books. The imagery described is wonderful. I could actually see the places given. I also long for adventure. So I have adventures by way of mysteries and I have been so many places. The author brings to life real everyday people along with the different voices by the narrator. This takes me to the Cornish Coast where the Harrington’s and Merriweathers are celebrating friendship and an Anniversary. Among the scene is a parade of odd legends and characters adding in kidnapping. This is a great clean read. Love It!!!!

I love this series!

I love this series! I can imagine what the world was like when I was just born. I'm sorry that the two previous books weren't recorded - I'll have to read them instead! I'm looking forward to many more!

Wonderful!!

Really enjoyed this installment in the Lore James Harrington series. They get better and better each time.
If you love cozy mysteries, then you’ll enjoy these.
Now I’m wondering how to get the three titles in the series that aren’t on Audible...

Terrible

The reader has an annoyingly sing song voice. The story is badly written and the premise absurd. Then there are the main characters who are just idle rich busybodies looking for entertainment in others difficulties. Pass this one by. I wish I could return it.
