About this listen

The Cavendish residents are discussing the traditional Easter festivities and egg hunt on the Harrington estate when the vicar’s dog digs up a bone. Retracing the dog’s walk, James uncovers a skeleton buried in the woods. Studying the remains, he identifies a number of expensive items. With the likelihood that the victim could be someone well to do, James puts his sleuthing hat on.

But a chance conversation turns the whole enquiry on its head.

I love, love, love the stories and the characters. I can't get enough of them and ordered all 9 books in short orders. I can not wait for the next one and check every few weeks to see if the next one has dropped.

Lord James Harrington stories are all fun, with unexpected twists. This story got better each twist, and the direction of the story changed each twist. It made for a very interesting read. LOVE the reader. He’s a really good actor. His voices and characters are unique and recognizable. He’s a good spinner of the tale.

Enjoyed all the voices and the insights into post war Great Britain. A good listen!

Great Narration!!

Interesting story that flows along at an okay pace. There is less a big reveal and more of an uncovering. It ends as it begins: with an uncovering. The Easter title sets the season and gives the theme for village fete. The narration was good for the most part but I did not like the stuttering vicar but unsure if it could have been better.
