This book was even better than the first in my opinion. The development of their love and their characters was brilliant. I loved all the twist and turns this book took me through, they were extremely clever. I can't wait for the continuation.

I enjoyed this book more than Book 1, and I liked Book 1! The narrator does an excellent job keeping her character voices distinct which makes for easy listening. I have to admit I find the main female character’s personality annoying - I can’t deny there aren’t people like her. Getting a better understanding of Creon is just worth the read alone. I love how their relationship has developed! Looking forward to the next book!

This series beautifully reveals the inner worlds of its characters-- especially the main character. Reading her struggle with wanting to be the good girl for everyone, how to have compassion while still holding onto her anger.... there is wisdom to be found here in addition to a thrilling adventure.
