Publisher's summary
Sometimes, the hardest part of finding love is keeping a straight face...For Jamie Newman, being a single guy isn't proving to be much fun, especially when confronted with a sexually belligerent divorcee and a goddess so far out of his league she might as well be a different species.
Mind you, being a girl in search of love isn't a bowl of cherries either. Just ask Laura McIntyre, who's recently contended with a horny estate agent on a quest for light relief and a rabid mountain bike enthusiast with a penchant for lycra that leaves little to the imagination.
When Jamie and Laura bump into one another (quite literally) it looks like their luck may have changed - but sometimes finding the right person is only the start of your problems...
Love...From Both Sides is a warts-and-all romantic comedy for everyone who knows how tricky the quest for love can be.

Meet Zoe and Greg Milton, a married couple who have let themselves go a bit. Zoe was a stunner in her college days, but the intervening decades have added five stone, and removed most of her self-esteem. Greg's rugby-playing days are well and truly behind him, thanks to countless pints of beer and chicken curry. When Elise, a radio DJ and Zoe's best friend, tells them about a new competition, it seems like the perfect opportunity to turn their lives around.

Will Fairweather is getting old. His back aches, his bowels misbehave if he eats spicy food and he’s completely lost his sense of rhythm. Life has taught him not to take risks, but even that hasn’t stopped his marriage hitting the rocks too. The last thing he needs is a surprise call from Red Fairweather, devil-may-care rock god—and the father Will hasn’t seen for thirty years. If Will’s old before his time, Red’s the boy who won’t grow up.

When siblings Dan and Hayley Daley inherit their late grandmother's derelict Victorian farmhouse, it seems like a dream come true. All they have to do is fix the place up and sell it for a tidy profit! Except - as anyone who has renovated an old house knows - things are never that easy. The walls are rapidly crumbling around them, the architect is a certified lunatic, the budget is spiraling...and then there's the disturbingly intelligent cow to worry about.

Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. I’d never forgotten him - a man I’d yet to meet. Griffin Quinn was my childhood pen pal, the British boy who couldn’t have been more different from me. Over the years, through hundreds of letters, we became best friends, sharing our deepest, darkest secrets and forming a connection I never thought could break. Until one day, it did. Then, out of the blue, a new letter arrived. A scathing one - one with eight years of pent-up anger. I had no choice but to finally come clean as to why I stopped writing. Griffin forgave me, and we were able to rekindle our childhood connection.

Story
The Cows is a powerful novel about three women. In all the noise of modern life, each needs to find her own voice. It's about friendship and being female. It's bold and brilliant. It's searingly perceptive. It's about never following the herd. And everyone is going to be talking about it.

Delightful and funny
The fajitas episode alone is worth the price of the book, but there is much, much more.

Funny
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I listened to this book at work with hidden head phones, don't do this. I was laughing out loud and my coworkers thought I was crazy.

Fun frolic filled with dating misadventures
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. It was light, funny, and filled with the embarrassing things that can happen when two people are trying to find each other. Definitely a beach read (or listen). Sometimes you just want something that's easy to digest, and quite entertaining. Nick Spalding has that down in spades.

Thank you for correctly referring to Type 2 Diabetes :)
I enjoyed the book. It was definitely funny and entertaining. I wouldn't have left a review until I heard the reference, used correctly to Type 2 Diabetes. As a mom of a 7 year old son with Type 1, I'm always listening to general references to diabetes and they make me sad, for many reasons. Although Type 2 can also be genetic and many times is no one's "fault" I was pleased you added the Type 2 in there since you chose to mention diabetes. Thank you!

Stupid Funny!!!!
Would you consider the audio edition of Love...From Both Sides to be better than the print version?
I don't think a print version could give you the same effect. This book was hysterical..........
What was one of the most memorable moments of Love...From Both Sides?
The cat scene was too ridiculous... I had to get my husband to listen...........cracked us up!
Which character – as performed by Heather Wilds and Napoleon Ryan – was your favorite?
Jamie read by Napoleon Ryan was my favorite.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The narration was so good I ended up getting the other two books in the series. I will listen to it again. I laughed throughout the book.
Any additional comments?
Worth the credit.

Both sides of me love this book
Nick Spalding invents characters which are like people I honestly wish I knew or lived in my life. Maybe I just covet that I want to be as clever, beguiling and funny as hell as his characters… If a genie gave me a wish, I would want Nick to write me my life over, especially back in my 20’s!
So said, this book is definitely one of his more “crude” and lad-like novels. But the humor is oversized & rakishly funny -especially with narrators Napoleon Ryan and Heather Wilds at the helm.
