Publisher's summary

He's all business. She loves to laugh. When business conflicts with pleasure, what could possibly go wrong?

Maeve Doherty needed a hard-earned break from Ireland's rainy weather, as well as caring for her younger brother. When the offer from Perfect Match to enjoy a week on an island of her choice arrived, she hesitated. But not for long. She'd always wanted to visit Corsica. Besides, who passed up free? All right, so she'd spend the week with a match. On her dating profile, she'd added that she was a workaholic. Hopefully, so was he.

Edward Newell had one thing on his mind when he reached Corsica, and it didn't involve meeting a perfect match. Dating? Love? Romance? Not for him. He was determined to find the picture-perfect location for his thriving hotel chain. When unexpected attraction burns for the beautiful Maeve, and business conflicts with pleasure, what could possibly go wrong?

Beautiful Story!

This is the sixth book in the Perfect Match Series, a clean romance Series written by six different authors. Maeve and Edward's story is sweet, fun, and beautiful. They are opposites attract, but a perfect match. I love the beautiful ending. I enjoyed Jeannie Gabert's reading. She has a soft and beautiful voice, easy to understand. She does a great job with the accents. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An timeless romance

Edward and Maeve have such a sweetness to their story. Each of them is driven by work and responsibilities. As they find themselves drawn together on a free holiday each of them comes to see the other in a different light. I have throughly enjoyed this story and wouldn't hesitate to read other books by this author. This story had a great ebb and flow to it that allowed for an enjoyable read. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

fun story

first, the story. I enjoyed it in its simplicity, nothing over the top, nothing far fetched. it felt like real people, which is refreshing. the ending was so sweet, it was perfect.

the narrator did a crazy job bouncing between accents! the Irish was better than the British for me, but when you're doing 3 accents in one book, all is forgiven.

Fairy tales are real

A beautiful week on Corsica complements of a dating app to advertise their service. What started out to be a romantic getaway just for fun turns into something more.

It's a match!

The Perfect Match series is so much fun to listen to! This is my second of the series to hear, and Maeve and Edward's story was so entertaining. Maeve is given a free cruise to Corsica, and with a chance for this workaholic to have a little time off sounds good. Edward is her match for the cruise, but his interest is in expanding his hotels. Can these two work minded people find time to get to know each other? I loved this premise, as I know so many people who are like this. Josie Riviera spins a romantic tale around their island adventure in Corsica, let's us take a quick peek in Ireland and let's us fall in love! How much better can it get? I love Riviera's style of writing and her characters are very easy to relate to. It's a great escape while finding a perfect match!

Jeannie Gabert's narration is fabulous. She easily transforms between male and female characters and I loved her Irish accent. It was my first narration listen of hers and I will be watching for more!

Fabulous Story & Narration🎧Captivating & Heartfelt

I love the concept of this series, six women receive invites to spend a week vacationing at an all inclusive resort with their perfect match, each book is written by a different author who creates their own story for the series. Maeve is Josie Riviera’s contribution to the series and she does not disappoint one bit, she grabbed right from the start and held it straight to the end. I loved Maeve’s dating profile, Miss Irish Independence, I loved how she always stayed true to herself, she is a strong independent woman who is giving and caring. She had to be convinced to go on this all paid vacation, one she would make work for her, well she is a self proclaimed workaholic. Plus she is going to Corsica, a place she always wanted to go, she is a lover of history and wants to visit the museum there. Edward Newell, her perfect match, has no intention of getting involved with anyone, he too is a workaholic and this will be a working vacation for him too. I loved these two together, they are from different worlds and walks of life yet they are so good for each other. To fulfill their obligation for their stay they spend time together and enjoy the activities the dating agency set up for them. They find there is great chemistry between is this dating agency on to something or will they fight it every step of the way? Josie Riviera is a gift author and she has a way with words. I loved how much story she fit into this novella sized book, it is enjoyable and entertaining with a whole lot of heart. Thank you for this fabulous story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Jeannie Gabert is a great narrator and voice artist. She did a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. She did a nice job with the accents too. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Sweet and Fun Romance

Maeve is a woman after my own heart. She is working class woman who was very skeptical of a vacation paid for by Perfect Match in Corsica where they would match her with her perfect match. But, it was a free vacation, so she went for it.
Her perfect match is Edward. He is the CEO of a large hotel chain. His family has their own private jet. He wasn't really looking to get involved with anyone. But, they hit it off right from the start and had a wonderful week together.
Until it looks like Edward or his friend used information from Maeve against her and things take a turn for the worse.

I loved the character of Maeve. She usually said what I was thinking and had the same reactions I would have to situations. The plot moved quickly and was a fun listen. The narrator did excellent with the voices and the accents.
