About this listen

***Magic of the Damned: Complete Series***

They say you should never make a deal with the devil, but what about with the Prince of the Underworld?

Fresh off a breakup and an eviction, I started my day like any other: a book in one hand, a coffee in the other, and faking that can-do attitude inspirational memes are made of. I was ready to take on the world—and I did.
Unfortunately, it was the Underworld.

One freak accident later, I’m standing face to face with the sexy-as-sin and dangerously powerful Prince of the Underworld. He has a few burning questions for me—like how a mere human unlocked the door to the Underworld’s prison and released its prisoners.

I’d sure as hell like to know, too, because I have no freaking clue.

Now, instead of a forgettable bookstore clerk, I’m newly famous for doing the impossible. The wrong people want to thank me, and the rest want me dead. Spoiler alert: The Dark Prince definitely doesn’t want to thank me.

I’ll do anything to get my life back to normal and he’ll do anything to recapture the escapees. We make a deal: He’ll keep my enemies at bay, and I’ll find a way to return the prisoners.

What could possibly go wrong?

This series was so awesome!

I couldn’t stop listening to this series. The characters were mysterious, the drama kept my attention, and the “personal business “ was….well…toes curling! There, I said it! It was a good read and being a part a different type of magic and creatures! It was fun to read!

1 narrator feeling like multiple

While the story felt rushed, it was still a really good story to listen to! I was initially disappointed it was only one narrator but she did an absolute beautiful job trying to separate the characters voices! Was a good listen to with medium 🌶️ level. Which I could appreciate as I would listen to this at work and didn’t have to skip crazy 10 minute 🌶️ “scenes”. There’s a bit of easy to spot foreshadowing but the character wasn’t entirely blind to them like how some MC’s tend to be in other series. I found myself laughing and shouting numerous times through out this series & just getting lost in the underworld.

Magic of the Damned Series

A great series. I enjoyed the storyline and characters were thought out. Luna and Dominic relationship made from need, low interest then blooming into love. Dysfunctional family, too much mistrust and more envy than love.

Not supposed to be a trashy romance novel.

I had to keep fast forwarding through minutes of sex scenes to get back to the story. First two books were great and the story in this one was too. Someone must have felt it needed filler and threw in twenty minutes of sex scenes.

The humanity of it all.

I enjoyed all of it was sad it was only 3 books! The characters were extremely complex, the antagonizer Helena she was the most interesting to me. she's the little sister that pretty much got dealt a s***** hand and was trying to survive anyway she could. That by being a spoiled brat basically. their father oh he got his just desserts. he was nothing but a bully that had outlived his time. It had been nice if the leading character female had just a little inkling or it happened automatically because of her genuine care for everybody to have gotten her magic returned or something close to it just in case so that way she could defend herself if needed. as for the leading male Prince of the underworld he was pretty cool his character shaped quite expectedly yet not.

The writing, the narrator as far as I said she did an amazing job It was the first time I've heard her and with as many different characters in the story and everything I couldn't tell that it was just her doing it I thought there was another narrator because I don't pay attention to the very beginning when audible is talking. is definitely a very interesting listen I couldn't stop pretty much I just wish there was more to download and listen to today while I clean house. highly entertaining and if you like a different spin on the underworld, the failing dynamics on that The shadow world if you like Shadowhunters along with if you're a fan of Lucifer that's what it reminded me of is a combination of Shadowhunters and Lucifer and a whole another twist things. let's just say the underworld family definitely needs some serious family counseling.

Not her best work

I have loved all the books I have read by Mackenzie Hunter. Unfortunately this one isn’t on par. It took me starting and stopping it 3 times before I finally managed to finish it. The storyline as a whole was good it just had some slow areas. The romance wasn’t as smooth and butterfly invoking as her work usually is. All things considered I still love her writing and will continue to read her series! :)
