About this listen

A sexy, new brother's best-friend romance from USA Today best-selling author Alexa Padgett.

He’s my brother’s childhood friend. I’m pregnant with another man’s baby. What a time to fall in love....

Coming home seemed like a good idea at the time. My ex-fiancé split, I was almost done with my master’s degree, and I was already working at the family architecture firm. When I move in next door to pediatrician Ryder Mackay, I’m not expecting the connection - or the passion in his eyes that I feel deep in my soul. He’s the best doctor for my baby, but he’s not the guy I need.

Still, the way Ryder looks snuggling my puppy - and my infant daughter - to his rock-hard chest makes me wish this sexy, smart, compassionate man was mine.

Maybe, it’s pregnancy hormones. Or...maybe this magnetic pull is forever.

Wow! This is way better than I thought it'd be

...but loved it and Ryder and Aidy. Very heartfelt. Loved Rosie, baby Lilia's response to Ryder, and the 2 epilogues (twice the fun!) This was my first Alexa Padgett book, but I have others in my library that I've now moved to the top of my TBL list! Narration was by Kathryn Lynhurst (new to me) and Connor Crais ( one of my favorites). Their voice acting was wonderful! Both were a joy to listen to and their performance brought the characters and story to life beautifully! Plus there is a bit of Connor doing a British accent, so that's a nice extra.

Great voicing, but not a fan of the story

I don't really have any opinions about this book. It wasn't bad, but I already barely remember the details two days after finishing it as I write this review. I am never a fan of the other man/women drama, and we got both here, which probably had me mentally checking out fairly early on. Add in the constant time jumps later on and pretty boring side characters, it all just sealed the deal for me.

The positive: I listened to the audiobook, and enjoyed the voicing.
