About this listen

The final book in the Transformation Trilogy, an intense fantasy romance retelling of Beauty and the Beast:

Rhaim produced a key from somewhere upon his person. “The collar has a lock.” He tossed it out onto the table. “If I cannot solve the Deathless, I will become your loyal servant, until the end of my time.”

I was suddenly in danger of fainting. Rhaim had just as much as admitted he didn’t have an answer yet, and the price he would pay for failure was too great for me to bear.

I knew what it was like to be trapped in a cage.

I would never, ever, send anybody else—much less the man I loved—into one.

“Father, you cannot agree to his terms,” I told him. I rose up on my tiptoes, leaning over Helkin’s shoulder to shout, “I still hate you, beast!” willing Rhaim to change his mind.

Rhaim gave me a wicked smile, and spoke in the growl that bypassed my ears and went straight to my core. “As well you should, princess. And know, too, that if I am given you, I will never show you kindness again...and the things I will do to you will make the unicorns weep.”

Make Her: A Dark Beauty and the Beast Fantasy Romance is the story of Rhaim the All-Beast, a cruel beast mage doomed to die at the hands of the woman he must protect at all costs, and Lisane, the sheltered Princess of Tears, who has been given into his care and who needs him to teach her magic so she can be free—no matter how much it might hurt her.

Epic Conclusion

Gah! Make Her is the epic conclusion to the Transformation Trilogy by Cassie Alexander! Make Her continues smack in the middle of the action where Break Her (book 2) ended. I’ve enjoyed Rhaim & Lisane’s character arcs both as a developing couple and as individuals. I may have loved Lisane the most when she spoke her mind to a group of marriage prospects paraded out by her father. Her brazen disregard for suffering their misogynistic BS in the name of propriety had me cackling and cheering. Make Her was a wild ride full of treachery, daring rescues, magic, and lots of steamy romance.

Victoria Mei and Matthew Holland once again embody these characters so completely that they take listeners on a visceral journey. Victoria’s performance of Lisane was powerful, passionate, and emotional. She did a fantastic job bringing Linsane’s growing confidence and emerging strength off the page throughout this series. Matthew’s performance of Rhaim was more seductive than ever. I loved the way he portrayed Rhaim’s humanizing journey. Even when his beast takes over, the effect Lisane had on his demeanor is evident. If you’re a fan of slow-burn, steamy fantasy, you don’t want to miss this wild adventure of a series!

Outstanding Conclusion!

This is an outstanding conclusion! I loved catching up with the beast and his moth. They both made a lot of changes in this story. Impressive! One of my favorite things about this book is the imagination of the author. The world building and the characters are so detailed and easy to visualize. His castle is my favorite place. The floating, hiding and magic of it is just so cool! The The different mages are my favorite characters beyond the two MC’s. The powers they have really are creative! The last couple we get to know better are just fascinating!

I listened to this on audio. Victoria Mei and Matthew Holland did an amazing job narrating this! I really felt they brought these characters further off the pages.

What an ending!

Make Her is the last installment in The Transformation Trilogy and it is my favorite! It's not often a series gets better with each book, but the author pulled out all the stops with this finale. The story picks up where book #2 left off. Lisane is back with her father and about to be auctioned off. Rhaim learns some ancient secrets that could be a game changer for Lisane. This book has about 10% of the spice and steam of the other 2 books, but this one is full of suspense, action, treachery, and intrigue. The plot twist ending was mind-blowing.

The narrators were the same as the past 2 books, Matthew Holland and Victoria Mei. It never ceases to amaze me how these two individuals can voice so many different characters so effortlessly. 5 flamin' stars!

wonderful ending to a wonderful series

This book starts when Break Her leaves off, and it does not disappoint. The story is wonderful, and the author neatly answers all questions without rushing it, even though the audio book is relatively short for what I usually go for. Lisane is one of the only female characters that doesn't infuriate me. She is logical and intelligent, which is refreshing when authors like to make their female protagonists too witty, stand offish, stubborn, and badass to be believable.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Great conclusion to trilogy

It is with both bittersweet and joy feelings that I have finishing this trilogy. Cassie took me on an emotional roller coaster ride with Lisane and Rhaim. The angsty vibes that Rhaim was giving off! I have to say that "beast" Rhaim is still my favorite.

Every intimate moment between Lisane and Rhaim were scorching hot! I savored them all. It was great to see Lisane and Rhaim together against those who were trying to tear them apart. Again, I want to give a shout out to Finx. Every time that he made an appearance, I had a smile on my face.

I will leave you with this line from Rhaim..."I want all of my firsts with you."

The ending of this trilogy

This is my review for the ARC ebook and audiobook. This is the final book of the trilogy retelling of beauty and the beast. We continue right where we left off with Lisane "resecued" by her father and brother. After learning they were planning on killing Rhaim. From this book we see how Rhaim finally accepts his feelings for his little moth. Since she is gone and proclaims her hatred for him can he talk to her again? To clear the air between them? Maybe the prophecy of them will actually come to fruition? Now about the audiobook. The narrators Victoria Mei and Mathew Holland did a great job creating the voices of Lisane and Rhaim. They brought to life for all the characters to life. I still recommend this trilogy.

I was not ready!!! I thought I was, but I was soooo not ready!

Omg! Omg! O.M.G!!!!

This the third and final book in the trilogy. And boy did it close things off so nicely for all of us dedicated fans 🥵

Book 3 picks up right after Book 2’s ending, which is when Lisane is taken from Rhaim. We get so much character development in this book for both of our beloved main characters. There is magic, there is love, there is hot steam with Rhaim and Lisane. But more importantly, we get our happy ending for them.

Once again, the audiobook was amazing!! Both Matthew Holland and Victoria Mei return to voice Rhaim and Lisane. And if you liked them in the first two books, you are absolutely going to fall in love with them all over again with their portrayal of our beloved characters in this book. Mathew was able to amazingly portray Rhaim as our beloved anti-hero who really finds himself in this world. Victoria showed us just how much of a badass Lisane truly is! The did such a great job putting us back into their world and made every character come alive. They absolutely killed the narration and I’m so happy that they were chosen for these two characters 🖤

Best for Last.

I don’t think this is one of those series that’s meant for everyone. But the people who were weirded out by the first books have been weeded out by now. Their loss. All’s I can say now that it’s 6 a.m., and the book is finished, is that I appreciate a well written story that has some deliciously detailed kink. But it’s not all about the kink. It evokes a wide spectrum of emotions from beginning to end. From dark and sexy to funny and sweet. I think this is my favorite retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I’ve read and listened to about 200 books in a year. And there was quite a few retellings of that story. To be honest, I can only remember one of those other versions. But that was because it was almost like someone played Beauty and the Beast as a D&D game, and then wrote a detailed account of that game. Which was funny. Anyways tho, this is a well executed and not at all randomly funny and weird D&D effort. For which I’m thankful. I highly recommend.

On to another series! Xo
