About this listen

You can’t fly without falling, so close your eyes and let go.

People ask me if I’m human. If I have feelings. If I’ve ever loved anyone. I’m the lawyer who has never lost a case because I have nothing else to live for.

Until Jonah.

He’s my complete opposite: a reckless boy 12 years younger than me, made of sunshine and wicked smiles, pure and breathtaking.

It all starts with a secret. He wants to find out if he’s bi, and he begs me to teach him because we’ll never see each other again.

Until he shows up on my doorstep with nowhere else to go. I can’t draw lines faster than we blur them. He’s the unstoppable force; I’m the immovable object. When we collide, things get filthy. Complicated.

More beautiful than I ever could have imagined.

He’s the only person ever to learn the truth: I’ve always been human. I’ve always had feelings. I’ve been so, so afraid to lose.

Because the moment we find enough trust to jump is the moment we realize our wings might be too broken to fly.

A heartfelt, emotional story of two lonely souls searching for meaning, featuring a bi awakening, grumpy/sunshine opposites attract, an age gap, and a main character with a disability.

The books in this series take place in the same universe and have recurring characters, but each book is a stand-alone that can be listened to separately or in any order!

Gray and Jonah

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥, the second book in the Water, Air, Earth, Fire series by Riley Nash is Gray and Jonah's story.

Gray and Jonah are both heading to New York to start new chapters in their lives. Neither of them expected a single plane ride to change their lives for good.

I was intrigued by Gray in the previous book and I am so happy he got his happily ever and Jonah is the perfect, rambling opposite of Gray to bring him back to who he used to be and make them both soar together. I loved their exploration and journey and I went through a roller coaster of emotions while listening. I am excited to continue this series.

Michael Gallagher and Theo Sinclair were the perfect picks for Gray and Jonah. They made them real and brought me into the story with them.

Get ready for... mm, age gap, opposites attract, bi-awakening, grumpy/sunshine, workplace, forbidden, roommates, disability, hurt/comfort, and dual first-person point of view.

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 has a heat level of 5 flames and gets 4.5 maple leafs!

Good Story Excellent Narration

I enjoyed the story, it was a good combination of healing and finding love in unlikely places. Jonah was adorable sweetheart, just a perfect guy for grumpy Gray. I liked Gray from book 1 and was excited to get his story. Narrators were new for me and I think they did a great job giving voices to the characters. They made it a perfect listening experience.

Wonderful characters

I am a huge fan of the grumpy/sunshine trope and will take all kinds of variations on exactly what "grumpy" means. Gray, here is a superb character of this type because he isn't really grumpy, he's simply built a rock-solid wall around his emotions that I as a reader could immediately sense and it made me so curious to learn why this had happened and how Jonah was going to get through as what had once been a facade had become completely normal for Gray. It served him in both his personal and professional lives. The author's use of the hurt/comfort trope to bring them closer together and then their connection was both heartbreaking and beautiful. An emotional, fulfilling, wonderful read with a great performance by Gallagher and Sinclair who captured the emotions, particularly Gray's emerging feelings perfectly.

Warm, poignant, & hot romance. Gorgeous narration

This is the best M/M romance I have ever read. It is also my new favorite contemporary romance. The narrators are absolutely superb. The characters feel so real. The writing is eloquent with witty and natural dialogue. I was transfixed with the beauty of the writing, and I am in awe of the author’s ability to make these two flawed, lovable men come to life. The character development of Grey and Jonah is outstanding. The bedroom scenes are very steamy but don't overshadow the couple’s slow, cautious tumble into love. Jonah is 22 years old and Grey is 34. Jonah is a cheerful, outdoorsy, outgoing young man starting at law school. Grey is a lonely, self-isolated but outwardly successful and gorgeous lawyer. They are both such good, compassionate people and very memorable characters.

The narrators Michael Gallagher and Theo Sinclair were incredible. They both gave perfect performances in this dual narration (they perform different chapters). I have never heard of these two narrators, but I am definitely going to look for their other work. Each of their voices were beautiful, emotive, sexy, and extraordinary.

I absolutely love this realistic, very romantic story, and I plan to listen to it again soon. I highly recommend it to all fans of M/M romance. “Make Me Fall” is book #2 in a series but can be read as a standalone. I was fine reading it without reading book #1, which was about Grey’s friend.

beautiful story, beautiful narration

This was my first Riley Nash book and will not be my last. I thought this book was excellent. The characters are real and flawed but both endearing in their own ways. They are both really struggling in their current circumstances and not entirely sure how to resolve things even though they both want to. Their first chance encounter turns into an unexpected friendship with a sort of mentor/mentee feel to it at first. The slow burn works perfectly here because as much as they want each other physically, they both have a lot to work through emotionally before taking that plunge. I hadn’t heard of either of these narrators before but they did an absolutely brilliant job portraying Gray and Jonah, and playing their emotions subtly. I got entirely lost in the narration, thoroughly enjoying it. The author says this can be read as a standalone, but as someone who has not yet read/listened to book 1 I feel that the emotional journey Gray is going through would have had a much greater impact on me if I had read as it’s all tied up in events that come to light/happen in book 1 to one of the MCs who is one of his best friends. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this audiobook.

AMAZING!

The narrators are just perfect . Seriously ! I've become verrrry picky and they both have gray tone, inflection, pacing ... love it!

The story is also perfect. Two "broken" souls finding their puzzle piece . It's not overly angsty nor is there severe trauma (which is a relief after the first book)

I highly recommend it!

Make Me Fall

This is book two in the Water, Air, Earth, Fire series. This book is about Jonah and Gray. Gray is the lawyer from book one. Jonah is a law student. I loved the dynamic between them. Jonah is one of the most joyful character to read about. Michael Gallagher and Theo Sinclair did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Jonah and Gray are the ultimate sunshine/grump

I was so glad when I learned that Gray from Hold Me Under was getting his story. You don't necessarily need to be familiar with that story before jumping into this one but I recommend it just because I do love Victor and Ethan (and they do make a cameo). Gray may be a bit emotionally distant due to his childhood and the horrible way his ex left him, however Jonah is a ball of sunshine and I love the way he gets under Gray's skin. These two are beautiful together and I love how they both support in ways that are specific to the other. Gray lets Jonah be independent and actively challenges him because he knows that Jonah will tackle any challenge to win. Jonah gives Gray a space to keep control but in ways that actually allows Gray to feel comfortable being vulnerable in. Riley's writing is nothing short of fantastic and I think his characters are incredibly well fleshed out. Michael Gallagher and Theo Sinclair are new to me narrators who do an amazing job of brining these lovely men to life. I recommend this entire series whenever I can because I believe it should be experienced by everyone!
