Nice breath of fresh air

I loved this because I loved mr Rogers as a child. I appreciated his strength and calmness,
His tenacity to keep his programming going, and his message of love. This is mr. Rogers for me as an adult, and I am happy about this book.

So nice they played it twice

This book is only half of it’s length and then they replay it. Literally. To be honest, normally this would bother me more but because this book is a collection of quotes and insights, I feel like it is important to hear them again.

As a new father, these words struck a chord in me and I’d like to revisit them from time to time as he affirms that we are all human, and to not expect perfection from yourself or your child.

The four performers really took his words seriously and provided thoughtful weight to the quotes they read.

A previous reviewer said Mrs. Rogers part was cut off. That was not the case with my download.

The piano in the background is very wobbly, like they got a really old record but his vocals are clear when he sings.

All in all I’m glad that I didn’t use a credit on this and just paid for it since it ended up being cheaper. It’s a short, thoughtful book that I would recommend to friends or family that were new parents.

Missing Dialogue???

For the most part, this is a quick & lovely compilation of Mr Rodgers reflections on child- parent relationships and the world around us---- it would be so much better if ALL THE DIALOGUE WAS THERE--- Mrs Rodgers is speaking at the end of Chapter 1 & it completely cuts off her words. Additionally, transitions between speakers feel choppy and do not flow. That was disappointing, but the content of what is there is lovely... there should just be more of it. 😕
