Story
The world’s greatest bodybuilder. The world’s highest-paid movie star. The leader of the world’s sixth-largest economy. That these are the same person sounds like the setup to a joke, but this is no joke. This is Arnold Schwarzenegger. And this did not happen by accident. Arnold’s stratospheric success happened as part of a process. As the result of clear vision, big thinking, hard work, direct communication, resilient problem-solving, open-minded curiosity, and a commitment to giving back. All of it guided by the one lesson Arnold’s father hammered into him above all: be useful.

"Your story is your life," says Loehr. As human beings, we continually tell ourselves stories: of success or failure; of power or victimhood; stories that endure for an hour, or a day, or an entire lifetime. We have stories about our work, our families and relationships, our health; about what we want and what we're capable of achieving.

Few would argue with the fact that on many fronts, we are a world in crisis. And there are two sides to every crisis, be it a leadership crisis, an economic crisis, an education crisis, or a moral crisis. The two sides to crisis are danger and opportunity. Robert Kiyosaki's new book, Second Chance: for Your Money and Your Life, uses the lessons from the past and a brutal assessment of the present to prepare listeners to see - and seize - the future.

Story
Innovation is the main event of the modern age, the reason we experience both dramatic improvements in our living standards and unsettling changes in our society. Forget short-term symptoms like Donald Trump and Brexit, it is innovation itself that explains them and that will itself shape the 21st century for good and ill. Yet innovation remains a mysterious process, poorly understood by policy makers and businessmen, hard to summon into existence to order, yet inevitable and inexorable when it does happen.

Good first part, Not so good the rest
What did you like best about Mental Toughness Training? What did you like least?
There were some good ideas and recommendations in first half of the book. The rest is all about healthy living. The book could have stopped after first half.
I have read some other material on mental toughness and compared to others this lacked depth.

Dated with some good info
I’ve been a fan of DR. Loehr since the early 90s. However, this audio book is a recording of audio cassettes from that era. Some of the info is still good. Some of the info and the presentation is very dated. There’s still some value here, but not as much as I hoped.

Horribly out of date
The reading of the script is sub par as it is chock full of grammatical errors and inaccuracies. Also the dietary information and physiological information in breathing is out of date and inaccurate. Do not waste your time with this book.
