We know where you are and we know how to help you help your young athlete find their mental fortitude.
Most of the books are not a good fit for young athletes because they were either written for adults or not written for youth athletes in competitive sports. There is a difference. We struggled to help our young athlete find his mental toughness. It was rough! Luckily along the way, we found the winning formula thanks to being able to talk with sports icons personally. We launched a podcast together called Hoopchalk Basketball Podcast and on it, we interviewed sports mental toughness giants, like: Chauncey Billups, Tywanna Smith, Keiko Yoshimine, Earl Boykins, Jason Richardson, and Kobe Bryant!
We studied what they did and said based on our interviews and we came up with a mental toughness plan that worked! However, we found that there was another level! (There are levels kid! - That will be funnier once you listen to the audiobook)!
We are going to share with you what we learned about taking your mental toughness to the next level. One step closer to Mamba Mentality!

Trash talking?!
Love most of the book, but I can't say I agree with trash talking being used during competition. If it is used as a productive tool, then I am all for it. The problem is that trash talking in youth sports is completely getting out of control. Trash talking nowadays looks more like unsportsmanlike behavior. In some cases, it leads to fights and circus like environments. You can see hundreds of examples on YouTube.
