About this listen

My corporate kingdom is vulnerable right now.

This is the perfect time for the enemy to strike.

My gunshot wound doesn't matter.

The only thing that matters is my wife.

I'm haunted by the knowledge that she could be next.

Gwen might have come to me through a twisted game of corporate revenge. It might have started as an arranged marriage, but it's become real.

The only thing I can do to protect her is keep her near me.

Except the danger lurks closer than I ever imagined.

Not usually one to read a series like this one, but it was a good one. I would recommend. It does drone on a bit and could have been done in 2 books, but, well, profits right? Yeah I said it!

Good Conclusion to the Series

The story wrapped up nicely with only a couple of issues:
1. A few loose ends were never resolved.
2. The blurb doesn't match the story. 'He' didn't get shot. At all. For the sake of spoilers, I won't say who gets shot, but it isn't the hero.

Pretty Good Ending to the Series

I enjoyed this series, the conclusion was really good and I liked there was a hint at the next series to come! The narration was mixed, the MMC was fantastic and the FMC started off well then seemed to switch to autopilot, she was a bit fast even at 1.0 speed and was a bit robotic as it went on in her exposition.
However the storyline was intriguing and drew you in that I still couldn't stop listening. There was a good amount of spice and intrigue throughout the series

Satisfying Conclusion
