About this listen

They're trying to steal my daughter.

My fake husband and his depraved brother—the two men conspiring to ruin my life.

I did the only thing I could do: I took my baby girl and ran like our lives depended on it. But you know what they say: out of the frying pan and into the fire. I thought my fake marriage was a nightmare. Little did I know…

The things my husband intends to do next are far, far worse.

Midnight Lies is the second book in the Tasarov Bratva duet from bestselling mafia romance author Naomi West. Don't forget to start from the beginning of Adrik and Emery's story in book one, Midnight Oath.

Arik’s intensity and unrealistic code of honor

Emory was so annoying and incredibly stupid at times —— very off putting. Arik, always the voice of reason, my favorite character. Keeping an enemy in a torture room for 10 yrs was unrealistic however the whole Bratfa life is always intriguing.

Excellent!

So much action and love in this one! Just when you think it’s almost over - there’s more! But in a good way - I never felt like this was too long at all. The characters are very good - if you like an FMC who constantly needs rescuing. The MMC is actually very patient for a Bratva boss who can’t get his girl to follow orders (hahaha!)

I really liked this duet. Definitely recommend!

Good story

The “heroine” to often was overly whiny and at time stupid and was a hazard. However, I did like the story overall.

How agonizing it was to get through

The characters were not likable at all. It took 2 whole books until they finally said they loved each other. They were absolutely horrible to each other till the epilogue and all of of a sudden they are madly in love. Also a Bratva Don would never go anywhere without bodygaurds. Totally unrealistic
