About this listen

The shadows deepen in every corner of the Realms.

The sun no longer shines on a man who has embraced the darkness within him.

The day's opposite finds Erevis Cale so far along the path away from his own humanity, he may never again walk as a man.

In the end, to be Chosen by a god like Mask is more curse than blessing....

Couple narrator mistakes but otherwise very good!

the narrator said the wrong name sometimes when dialogue happens. kind of confusing but if you are paying attention you already know the correct answers so it doesnt really matter. Great book. In Cale we trust!

Last is the best

Would you consider the audio edition of Midnight's Mask to be better than the print version?

I only buy the kindle version ($5.50) so I can then buy the audible version for $3. It's a fairly easy way to get an audio book for under $10.

What about John Pruden’s performance did you like?

John Pruden is probably the best narrator I have heard from Audible. He does so many voices and changes them so easily. All his characters really come to life. Well done.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

As far as drawing real emotion (I don't and did not cry during books)... The last two chapters focused more on the characters than the events. It's always cool to see how they act and talk when the action slows.

Any additional comments?

Overall, this was a really good series. Much darker than say the Drizzt books (that's my only reference point). The author keeps with a handful of characters and the story is wound tight. Book one and three were real page turners.

Fantastic

Don't think it ends here, "this is just the beginning". Excited to start the next trilogy.

Awesome.

Great book. Much like the Drizzt books by R.A. Salvatore. I recommend the series. I plan to keep going with all of Paul S. kemp. John Pruden is good as the narrator for sure too!

Good ending to an interesting storyline.

this was a great story. it was a good ending and frustrating at the same time which is what made it good. this is an excellent story arc to get into because reading about the main hero who is also an antagonist struggles with an evil side is quite different from a lot of the forgotten realms books that I've read.

A great story with a great performance

Brings the trilogy to conclusion while opening doors for more stories. Kemp continues the surprises whole building on the core themes of the first two books. Bravo!
