Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) thought motherhood would be a breeze and that having a daughter was a dream come true – a shopping friend for life! But it’s trickier than she thought – two-year-old Minnie has a quite different approach to shopping.
She can create havoc everywhere from Harrods to Harvey Nicks to her own christening. She hires taxis at random, her favourite word is ‘Mine‘, and she’s even started bidding for designer bags on ebay.
On top of everything else, there’s a big financial crisis. People are having to Cut Back – including all of Becky’s personal shopping clients – and she and Luke are still living with Becky’s Mum and Dad. To cheer everyone up, Becky decides to throw a surprise birthday party – on a budget – but then things become really complicated.
Who will end up on the naughty step, who will get a gold star and will Becky’s secret wishes come true?

so this book was a no brainer
i loved it so much i bought the rest of the shopaholic series.. hmm or is that just the impulsive shopaholic in me?? who knows anyways.. the way becky tries so hard but no matter what she always ends up messing it up and in these "only could happen to her" escapades, her parents, her love of shopping with champagne taste on beer budget & doing anything to get it , the mummy once overs and most of all her denial and her darling angels spoilt and rather err phsycotic meltdowns.. honestly i laughed and squirmed as it was quite like hearing about myself.
i think these are great to listen to ( especially while driving with kids fighting in backseat :) for a light read or bit of fun escapism for mums or any other shop loving ladies... it wasnt too far fetched or and i didnt find it to unrealistic or odd even though it is set in u.k. ( as i find some usa books)
its a great all over read and i give it 5 stars , you know its enjoyable when when the itunes version you brought stops working with 1hr and 35mins to go you search it out on another site to hear the ending !!
wont disappoint
love this light chic lit so much i bought the set!
