About this listen

Blackballed from her corporate career, Andréa Grayson's luck at finding suitable employment has run out. Until her sister secretly arranges an interview for Andy with business mogul Blake Donovan. The job? Find him a wife. It's a despicable position, but she can't turn down the opportunity. It's the only one she has.

Blake Donovan is rich, successful, and too damn busy to find a suitable wife. He knows Andréa Grayson possesses the skills necessary for the task of matchmaker, even though her sass, confidence, and ambition represent everything he doesn't want in a woman. Yet as they work together, the smoldering attraction he feels for her can't be denied.

Has Blake finally found his match with his sexy and sassy matchmaker?

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this novel. The story itself is almost predictable but not quite. I love Andy's character not often you find a book that will portray the heroine to be brassy bossy and funny wrapped up in one character. I didn't give it a high rating because the narration could be better. The storyline is exciting but made it dull because of how it was narrated. It's hard to distinguish between different characters because they all sound the same. it's also so dry and robot like that you have to work your imagination to overcome the dull narration.

scintillating, funny and entertaining!

Blake and Andrea are perfect together!

Blake is the sexy, smart billionaire every woman hopes to find, however he can be an arrogant ass at times and his tastes in women are very particular and outright boring. Instead of revealing his true self and his hobbies from Andrea, his matchmaker, he puts on a front of liking the things he thinks will be attractive to women. Andrea sure has her work cut out for her.
However, after she gets to know Blake more, the more she sees that he's not all that bad. Soon, things get more heated between them and watch out when that happens!!!
Loved the push and pull these two had going and the shenanigans they pulled were hilarious! This was a great read!

An adorable romantic comedy!

Not the worst I've ever read but it wasn't that good. It was very long when I think it could've been better if it was slightly shorter. It dragged on and there were many pointless details that didn't help the story. Also the love scenes were basically nonexistent especially for a book that long.

The worse part of this was the narrating. Her voice did not fit the character at all. It was so much older then what was told. I didn't NOT like the narrator and she did a horrible male voice. There were times in the book where there was "conversation" and I couldn't tell who was talking. The sister, Andy or the male character. Everything sounded the same. Honestly I would've given this 4 stars if the narration wasn't so horrible.

Horrible Narration.

What a joy this listen was.... it was funny, frustrating, romantic and oh so sweet when Blake, the drool-worthy business tycoon, decides it's time to find a wife and treats it like just another business deal. So, with cold logic, he makes a list of his wants, needs and expectations and nowhere on that list are any emotional requirements..... especially that of love. Because he is far too focussed on his business he just hasn't got the time to spare, or the inclinations to actually find a potential wife for himself, so instead he seeks the help of a Match Maker. And, little does Blake know, but that decision was actually going to be, without a doubt, the best one he'd ever had.

The usually feisty and talented Andrea was jobless, homeless and penniless and was living with her Sister but her Sister had had enough of her mooning around so arranges a job interview, a job that was going to test Andrea's patience, infuriate and frustrate her, make her shout and throw things and eventually push her to her limits. But it was also going to be rewarding in ways that she could never have imagined and end, as all good fairy tales do, with a HEA ending.

What a fun listen this was and, as their relationship slowly unravels, I wasn't expecting the laugh out loud moments, the explosive combustible chemistry, the misunderstandings and miscommunications, the deliciously slow build-up to the inevitable sex scene/s and the heartbreak and passion-filled pleas as their well-written romance hiccups then comes to an end. But I would have loved their story to have continued and been wrapped-up in a 'three years later' type of Epilogue (greedy I know I know already).

Worth a credit? Told from dual POV's, good narration, a lot of fun-filled angst together with a bit of drama and a love story that was inhabited by characters that I'll be sad to leave behind. So, IMO, if you're looking for a light, contemporary romance that'll make you smile and is pure indulgent escapism at its finest..... then you've just found your book because this is a very entertaining, enjoyable and rewarding listen that's definitely worth a credit.

A VERY ENJOYABLE, FANTASTICAL & FICTIONAL ROM/COM

The story line is good but the narrator ruined it for me. It took me so long to even listen to it due to her voice. It didn’t go at all with the romantic vibe and her male narration was terrible. I had to listen on a faster speed just to get through it. It is a great example about how important picking a good narrator is.

Narration is vital
