Publisher's summary

Life is almost back to normal for Harper Price. The Ephors have been silent after their deadly attack at Cotillion months ago, and best friend Bee has returned after a mysterious disappearance. Now Harper can return her focus to the important things in life: school, canoodling with David, her nemesis-turned-ward-slash-boyfie, and even competing in the Miss Pine Grove pageant. Unfortunately, supernatural chores are never done. The Ephors have decided they'd rather train David than kill him. The catch: Harper has to come along for the ride, but she can't stay David's Paladin unless she undergoes an ancient trial that will either kill her...or make her more powerful than ever.

Fun, But Not That Enjoyable

I admit I can see this series being a favorite for so many people but for some reason I am not enjoying these books as much as I hoped .. I read ( Hex Hall ) and it was amazing but this one fell short for me, maybe because I don't like Harper that much ? and I'm so not impressed by David in this book he is such a drama queen through it all .. the best character for me is Bee and I'm so glad we got to see more of her .. so this is the second book in the series and we follow the gang ( Harper, David and Ryan ) while they learn more about their powers and what new dangers might come for them this time .. it is kind of fun but no so enjoyable

As for the narration she is the same narrator as the first book and I didn't have any particular problem with her narration she was nice
