About this listen

Shy and timid Lenora Wilton has spent most of her life either behind the keys of her beloved pianoforte or in the shadow of her younger sister, Cassie. But when Lenora decides to travel to Bath to live with her Aunt Gwen and teach music at an all-girls' boarding school, she begins a journey of self-discovery that leads her to a surprising romance. Lenora must decide if she is willing to risk her heart for a chance to love and be loved in return.

It took me a couple weeks to finish, not a page turner, but it’s cute.

It’s alright. First one was cuter

Sweet story and well written. Having been a teacher and raised children it held my interest.

Great narrator!

Sweet story. I had a problem with the narration. it lacked energy in parts. I didn't care for the male voice.

Sweet.

I thought this book was a very good follow up to the vicars daughter. The characters were good, the story was good, and I really liked the elements in the book.

Wonderful proper romance

I so loved this book. Love books with musicians. I so love flawed characters who learn to love themselves as well as others. The main characters are wonderful. So delicious. More please.

Charming

I liked the scandals although clean. The persistent miss Wilton, she finally found out that Kathryn was hiding her abused upbringing and had a learning disorder

normal human emotions and frustration, misunderstanding.

This book could be read on its own, but will be more meaningful if you read "The Vicor's Daughter" first, as Lenora is a main character in that book.
This book was thought provoking and clean, a good mixture of romance and life experiences. The author well understands different personalities and temperments, so the characters are believable. The reading is excellent. One can always tell who is talking.

The follow up I had hoped for

I was sad it ended. I will look for more books by this author. Very well done.

This story took awhile to get going, I was going to give up because the first chapter was a little boring, however once it started getting interesting it was definitely worth the listen. I would have preferred a different narrator, the American accent was a little of putting however I still enjoyed the story. I also recommend that The Vicar’s Daughter is read or listened to first as this follows on from that book.

Took awhile to get going but was definitely worth the listen
