About this listen

A young woman possessing dangerous, destructive power is Earth's last hope for survival against alien invaders in this cyberpunk dystopian adventure.

Viral, extraterrestrial nanites collectively known as the Mist have been transforming Earth and its inhabitants for nearly a century. The shapeshifting environment has wreaked havoc across the planet, changing the elemental structures of land, air, and water—and forcing every living being to endure an unnatural evolution. As animals warped into monsters and people developed superhuman abilities, the Mist also accelerated and amplified technology into tools and weapons that disrupted the world's status quo. And while nations were plunged into chaos and war, aliens harvested Earth's resources, leaving humanity on the brink of extinction.

Mira Braddock's own humanity was sacrificed in order for her to become the world's savior. A cybernetic soldier enhanced with a Tier 7 Nexus Implant, she's a Mist Warden capable of manipulating the nanites inside anything and any one, making her the most powerful and feared being in existence. Mira's crusade against Earth's enemies has brought mass destruction in her wake. Millions of aliens and humans have died at her hands. Each victory increases her godlike power, and she finds herself slipping away, struggling to relate to the needs of her allies—and Patrick Ward, the man she loves—as she undergoes an astounding transcendence.

But the alien Arbiters of Orion would rather destroy the Earth outright than allow Mira to become an even greater threat to their place in the universe . . .

I really enjoyed this series up until the ending. I still recommend it as a whole but I found the last 1 hour of the book frustrating. Not terrible mind you, just unsatisfying.
So Buy, Read, and then decide for yourself.

Dang I didn’t realize this was the last book sad to see it go but it was an amazing story filled with action and just badass moments I loved listening to this series and would 100% recommend anyone who likes litrpg sci-fi and action

Amazing

you'll see when you finish it, but some of the details could be skipped in favor of some additional dynamics.

Honestly, the author has developed a unique and engaging universe that I hope gets expanded upon. This four book set closes nicely on the central character, but it leaves open so many wonderful characters and factions that are never explored.

I say the foundation is formed for a wonderful space fairing, cyberpunk, galactic litRPG universe. Get to writing!

it's both too fast, and too slow

I rated this as two stars because the author slacked off on many aspects of LitRPG elements and some adventure sequences, filling the gaps with cyclical; repetitive, foolish inner monologues that get VERY ANNOYING very quickly.

Ruined the book & left bad memories for the whole Series.

The constant, repetitive Inner Dialogue…

the ending is garbage. if I could ***** the author in the face I would.
