About this listen

The nation wept when news broke of nearly three-year-old Caylee Anthony's disappearance from her home in Florida in July 2007. The search for Caylee made front-page headlines. But Casey Anthony continued to lie to law enforcement about her daughter's whereabouts, complicating their search for the truth.

Soon, Casey was the most hated person in America. This updated version of the book covers the murder trial of Caylee's mother and its unexpected outcome. The tragedy of Caylee Anthony will haunt you for years to come.

AWFUL NARRATOR

Would you try another book from Diane Fanning and/or Sally Blake?

Diane? Sure. Sally? No way.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I'm actually not done yet but I feel so passionate about the narration that I wanted to comment on it.

How could the performance have been better?

I cannot believe they didn't scrap this and start over with someone new. Most of the time the narrator sounds like a robot with a first grade education. When she is reading the dialogue of Cindy Anthony she sounds whiny and panicked no matter the context.

Did Mommy's Little Girl inspire you to do anything?

Actually, yes! Not to take away from the serious subject matter, but I have been considering becoming a narrator myself and this performance gave me a lot of confidence.

Hard to believe any mother could kill her child

I have also read the book and enjoyed the audio version of the book now. THIS BOOK IS BETTER HERD! I did find I was very angry at moments and wanted to slap the stupity out of the so call mother and the grandmother of the poor baby So wronged and stripped from life. I pray for peace for the little angel.

This was more of a Fiction than nonfiction

It was a great narrative of what possibly happened. Although Casey was found Not Guilty because of defense team saying her father George was a pedophile. That was sickening but it made reasonable doubt.

No justice for Caylee

This story was told spot on. Living in central Florida I can say that this is a most accurate telling of the true story of the death of Caylee Anthony. May she rest in peace.

Well known story

Mixed feelings on this book, perhaps because of actual outcome. The book itself was written apparently before the trial, with an addition after the trial, justice not completed.

Well written but...

Quite possibly the worst narration I've ever heard. Shame, because the author did a great job.

Good Narrator and Compelling Narrative

I am not sure what is with all the negative reviews about the narrator. Narration was high quality. Good information, family background, and flow of narrative. Some areas could have used more depth and details. Overall, good true crime.

Sad story well told

Cindy Anthony’s whiny voice is so annoying I almost stopped listening. The author told the story in an interesting way that holds your attention. As far as the characters- she got away with murder and if her parents were indeed as portrayed in this book I can see why they raised a sociopath. The parents knew she did it. I hope nothing good comes to George, Cindy and Casey Anthony. Rest peacefully Caylee. I’m sorry you didn’t get justice.
