About this listen

Christopher would never hurt anyone. Not intentionally. Even after everything that’s happened, I still believe that....

Christopher Harris is a lonely boy. A boy who has never fit into his family. Who has always felt something was missing from his life. Until one day, when he discovers a suitcase in his family’s attic, and a secret about his mother that changes everything....

Mother will leave you reeling and hold you breathless until the very last minute. Perfect for fans of The Girl on the Train, The Sister, and Apple Tree Yard.

SE Lynes has done it again! she has captivated us with the thriller that is beyond human comprehension, twisting the heart and mind and taking it places we thought it could never go

I’m dumbstruck

I really enjoyed this book. The storyline was excellent. At the beginning I was unsure about multiple characters. But it all comes out in the end. I could not stop listening. Narrator was fabulous. A few twists & turns. Recommended to those who enjoy a psychological thriller!

Excellent Listen

If you like puzzles this book is for you. Nothing is clear cut to witch did what and who is who. The twist is discovered is the ending of this well written prose

Mystery Lovers Will Enjoy.

Characters were impeccably descriptive and story was a delve into the minds of individuals and how Wrong we are on perceptions and what needs we truly have. Well done!

Great writing!

I can’t believe this book got 5 stars from the beginning until I reach chapter 12 was so boring not worth the credit very disappointed

Very boring

This story surprised me, but not in a good way. The listening experience was pleasant enough, thanks to the narrator, but this is not a thriller by any stretch, nor a mystery in any but the broadest sense. The whole thing reeks of privilege, and maybe that's the point, but it's flogged to pieces over many hours. (Edited to add, as an adoptive grandparent I was extremely offended by the ends of this book, and removed a star.)

Maudlin, self-serving characters

This book was okay but not as heart thumping and wildly exciting as so many people thought. Ben was brought Into the story abruptly and I quickly figured out why even though he does not mention again until later.

Waiting for all the “exciting” twists

Loved the beginning, however the ending was poorly! Gripping and twisted end was not it at all!

Started out great but ended poorly.
