Mouse - the mysterious man with the unassuming moniker (and the mentor of teen super Kid Sensation) - finally has his story told.

Brilliant and gifted, Mouse is a mental whiz who fails utterly in his initial attempts to join a superhero team. With his dream ostensibly out of reach, he eventually ends up working at an electronics repair shop, toiling in relative obscurity but seemingly content and at peace with the hand fate has dealt to him. However, a surprise visit from the Alpha League - the world's premier team of superheroes - changes all of that in a heartbeat.

Implicated in a crime that he knows nothing about, Mouse is forced to go on the run. Hot on his heels is not only the Alpha League, but also an anonymous faction whose motives are questionable at best. But despite a lack of discernable super powers, Mouse - adroit and nimble in body as well as mind - is determined to stay one step ahead of his pursuers.

It soon becomes clear that he is at the center of events with far broader implications than anyone ever imagined, and Earth itself is in danger. However, with few resources and even fewer allies, saving the planet won't be easy, and even a cerebral crackerjack like Mouse might be forced to admit defeat.

This was such a fun and entertaining super hero story. I absolutely loved it! The pacing, story, characters, narration are all very well done. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who loves superhero stories.

Action adventure featuring superheroes. Mouse is a man who was never able to be a superhero, or so the superheroes thought. When the Earth is threatened by an alien race , Mouse shows his true talents. I was gifted this from the author.

If you like things like HP, X men, Star Trek or Star Wars and Fantasy action, then you will LOVE this series. It's the first novel in the series and I am moving on straight to Novel #2.

This was a really fun super hero story but it's not a very clean read. This is connected to the Kid Sensation series but parents need to understand it is not teen appropriate like the other books. I absolutely loved the story line, characters and the narration was great! I read this one to preview it for my middle school kids and quickly realized that this is definitely a young adult read. There's a lot of bad language and some minor sexual content on top of the normal superhero battles/violence. I honestly just wish the language and bedroom content was cleaned up because my boys would have loved the story! There were just too many F-bombs and other cussing throughout and much of it didn't even feel necessary.

After having really enjoyed the main series I have really enjoyed learning about how Mouse became who and what he is in the main series.
I really enjoyed the narration of this book I thought that it was very well done, and I am hoping that the narrator does the rest of the series.

Well worth the time.

This was a fast paced adventure full of action and intrigue. While the superheroes world is not completely original is it's well fleshed out and so are the characters. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

A great addition to a series. It gives background on one of the main characters. I loved learning more about Mouse.

The story is full of superheroes and villains aliens and all sorts of other really cool characters. This world of make-believe is so rich and full you can almost imagine it was true. I’m not sure if this author has any more stories but I want to hear more from them. I absolutely loved the twists and turns, both his intellect, and the way somethings could be foreseen and others were a complete surprise.
