About this listen

A short and true story about a world-famous actor and a fantasy Hollywood romance gone wrong by Jessica Simpson, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Open Book.

In 2006, after the end of her marriage to the first man she ever loved, Jessica Simpson wonders who she really is. Exploring what she truly wants in a relationship, Jessica begins dating again. This time her only vow is not to leap for the fairy tale. Don’t overthink. Just enjoy the moment. But when an A-list childhood crush invites her on a romantic getaway, it’s impossible for Jessica not to swoon.

In this introspective and funny confessional—one she never thought she’d share—Jessica confronts the limits of her experience and her sense of self as she’s nearly swept right off her feet.

Worth the listen

Entertaining and a quick listen. Jessica narrates; the way she is speaking is a little odd and hard to understand at times but otherwise no complaints.

More to love!

Another great insight of Jessica Simpson's life. A funny and an insightful account of her perspective regarding a male celebrity.

Cute story about learning your value

To me, this was a story about finding yourself after a breakup. It doesn't matter who the guy or woman is, a movie star or not, you have to know your own value. I also really enjoyed Jessica's voice. Easy story to listen to w a good lesson.

Definitely Worth A Read

It’s very interesting short story, Jessica makes it obvious but not obvious who the movie star could be. Another good follow up to open book. The audio , her voice does sound a bit weird snd off on sone places but worth the read or listen

Exactly what you want

I will listen to Jessica spill the tea about anything or anyone- i love her vulnerability and ability to point out the insanity of living.

Well…

I hate to say it, but she sounds intoxicated at times. I hope I’m wrong. Also, it would’ve been nice to know who the hell she’s talking about and I really hope it’s not Mark Wahlberg.
