Publisher's summary

She leads the rebellion...

Jack Daniels is an awkward topnotch programmer and hacker as well as the secret vampire-lifestyle blogger known as iByte.

Becoming a vampire should have been the wildest thing to happen to her. But when a supposedly benign, pamphlet-bearing alien species makes first contact, something sends her vampire sense tingling.

He is the enemy...

Tarc, commander of the Alien Relocation Cooperative (ARC), thought that accepting the contract to relocate the incredibly creative, though somewhat primitive humans, off of their dying planet would be a breeze. Unfortunately, reality was not as advertised, and he is left trying to suppress various rebellion groups refusing to fall in line with his well-organized plans.

An oh-so-close encounter with a potentially dangerous human female leaves him confused yet determined to uncover all that she is hiding. Or is he?

When Jack and Tarc collide, neither one can maintain their control. Torn between their individual loyalties and their rising desire for each other, passions flare, bloodletting ensues, and secrets are revealed.

Warning: This book contains sarcastic AI, prophetic t-shirts, and a profound appreciation for pizza.

Content warning: Includes supernatural torture, childhood emotional abuse, and power dynamics.

Praise for the book:

"A delightful story that shows supernatural beings can be romantic - and also very funny." (Kirkus Reviews)

Vampires, aliens, and humor...oh, my!

What a fun and sexy story from a new author who has joined the ranks of my InstaBuy authors!! Can't wait for Book 2. Is it a continuation of this story or something new?

Fantastic!

This is my second time reading this book and I can’t believe I forgot to review it. This book has stuck with me. It’s just one of those books for me that I really loved! Michelle Mars has created this fantastic world with aliens, and vampires. The aliens are on earth to save the humans because they are on a mission to save the humans before earth is destroyed. There are a few groups that don’t believe that earth is going to be destroyed. One of which is a very bad group that will destroy aliens.

We are introduced to Jack who is a sassy and funny vampire. She has a blog where she talks about being a vampire and hopes to help others if they are vampires are well. Even though she is sassy as hell, she has no confidence in herself thanks to her mother who raised her and how she treated her. I related so much to Jack, I just wish I had her sass!

This book is full of action, spice, (and lots of great spice at that) a bit of adventure. I think it would be a great starter for someone who wants to try sci-fi. I don’t read much of it, but Michelle Mars wrote it where I didn’t feel lost and I understood everything well. We are introduced to other characters, and I can’t wait to read the next in the series. Her best friend, Rory… she’s now my best friend! Give this book a try. It’s fantastic!!!
