Charm is the key to the world. Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal - that "it" factor that can't be described. Nolan Delaney has it is spades. The infamous Mr. Romantic. And maybe he is out of my league, but I'm going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn't travel 2,000 miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash. Don't underestimate me, Mr. Delaney. I'm really not as innocent as I look.

What did you love best about Mr. Romantic?
Nolan is complicated. Ivy is very real in her internal conflicts. Great characters. Great story.Which character – as performed by Erin Mallon and Tad Branson – was your favorite?
Ivy by Erin Mallon. But Nolan (Tad Branson) is a close second. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
ConflictedAny additional comments?

Would you listen to another book narrated by Erin Mallon and Tad Branson ?
Erin is a talented VO artist - I enjoy her voice a lot ehhh --- but somebody needs to go in ehhh and edit out the breaths ehhh at the end of every. ehh. single. ehh. phrase. ehh. -- the constant breathe-ins don't go with the script, are completely distracting and beyond ANNOYING ehh -- honestly it's so prevalent ehh - it becomes entirely grating. ehh. so I stopped listening and ordered the ebook. gah! ehhh. sorry to have wasted an audible credit, definitely will make a point to listen to the previews for this type of ehh thing in future. ehh.Read this one instead of listening

The character Ivie went from total virgin to role playing violent sex a tad bit too easily. Although this part of the book kept me at the edge of my seat. The scene itself was disturbing.
I found it hard to follow from time to time as it jumps from past to present. Also using characters real names and then their Mr. names. Trying to keep track of who was who jumbled things up a bit for me. I will be listening to this a second or third time.
I had honestly thought about returning this book even before I got to the end. Then I listened to Huss's narrative. How she found this to also be disturbing. Her reason for wanting to write a series based on this subject. This helped me to decide to continue to the end of the Mister series.
The narrators for this book did a wonderful job conveying the emotion of the characters.
Disturbing

this is THE only book I struggled listening to though. the female narrator was very distracting to listen to. after EVERY sentence you could hear her gasp for air. I don't know if it was for dramatic affect OR bad recording system. I will always look forward to your books and this won't taint me.
love your stories

Nolan Delany aka Mr. Romantic needs someone to help manage his new resort and an unexpected applicant shows up and puts a wrench in his plans. Ivy Rockwell is a recent graduate from Brown University and she gets a very unexpected offer from a man she doesn't know about a job she never applied for. Unknown to both of them their lives are going to change forever and they'll discover (some) of the secrets about how they came to met each other.
This story starts off mysterious, we have no idea why Ivy is getting an invitation for a job and we have no idea who set it up. When Ivy and Nolan meet wow just wow the sparks are there from the start and the sexual attraction between them is potent. But as more time pass we find Nolan very weird. Like Ivy we kind of wonder is this guy psycho? Did he really do what he was accused of ten years ago? Ivy isn't sure and neither am I. He seems very dark and then he tells her his fantasy. Man is it hot. The way he describes his fantasy to her is really really hot and as I'm reading it I really want it to happen. Between all this there is Nolan's sister Claudette who is most like crazy. She keeps warning Ivy away from Nolan but as I read more I found her more and more unsettling and a major bitch. There is this whole back and forth thing between Nolan and Ivy, who is telling the truth and who is pulling the strings? I really enjoyed this book because Nolan's fantasy is a fantasy rape scene. I haven't read many fantasy rape erotica/romance's, it's not a subject most writers want to write about but I truly love these types of books because it's so out there. The idea of getting hurt or forced but knowing it could easily stop with one word, it's hot. When we finally get to the fantasy rape scene it's epic. The mind fuck is so perfect... I can't even really describe it. Ivy at one points says she can't tell if it's really fantasy or if it's real and as the reader I too couldn't tell. I spent the whole time saying to myself is the a good guy? In my head I'm going "noyesnoyesnoyes". Was Nolan an actually rapist or was this indeed a fantasy rape scene. It's the most intense moment of the book my opinion it's so well written that I as the reader am being mind fucked by reading. This book is dual pov by both Nolan and Ivy and even with Nolan's side of the story as the reader I was wondering the whole time is he crazy? or just kinky? The book ends with some closure on how Ivy get's invite for a job for Nolan's resort but we are left with a new set of questions after a scene where four of the five Misters meet to talk about the events that happened with Nolan and Ivy and it definitely gives the reader an appetite for the next Misters' stories. Wonderful story, great characters, awesome mind fucks and hot sex what more could you ask for in a book?
The narrators were great. I love Erin Mallon she brings such emotion to her narrating and she makes me forget that she's not a guy when she does the male voices. This is the first book I've listened to with Tad Branson and he's not the best but he's also not the worse male narrator I've heard. So I really enjoyed this audiobook.
