The Juneteenth celebration could be her ticket to the position of her dreams. Only, she had to work with Cameo Rawlings, with his take me as I am or don't take me at all attitude. Hell, she was going to have to forget that disastrous blind date and play nice to get what she wants.

Working together creates a sensuous atmosphere that neither knew existed. Cameo learns Syndia's sassy, sophisticated way is the inspiration he needs. Syndia soon realizes Cameo's arrogant, take-charge way is the love that she wants.

I really enjoyed Cameo and Syndia's story. They had immediate chemistry that they didn't ignore. But a bit of drama from her past threatened to ruin everything. This was a good short book.

I have the book and the audiobook, but I wanted to hear Winston James narrate.

I had been hoping Cameo got a book. I only wish it had been longer. He had LT's back for so long, I expected more story. I did appreciate the way Cameo romanced Syndia.

There was a good amount of intrigue in the book. I would have loved more detail about the repercussions from Dylan and Jane's behavior. I had a scenario in my head with a whole Lassiter takedown, or at least All and Tucker.

A quick read with great narration and a good story. I just wanted more of it.
