About this listen

If I can keep Hush Note's leading guitarist, Nixon Winters, on the straight and narrow for the next six months, I'll finally get my own band to manage - assuming we don't kill each other first.

The egotistical, irritating rock star is fresh out of rehab, but it's obvious his demons followed him home - and now I'm sleeping down the hall. I've watched him self-destruct every summer, and with album deadlines and tour dates looming, I can't let it happen again. My career is in his hands.

But tattoos can't cover every scar, and I'm starting to see through his trademark, irresistible charm to the damage beneath.

Everyone wants the rock star.

I'm falling for the man.

If he doesn't let me in, he'll never break the cycle - and when these six months are up, I might be the one left broken.

Contains mature themes.

Rock Romance Gold

This is an amazing story about a man with some major demons and no desire to talk about them. He drinks and sexes threw the nightmares and pain. Until he can't anymore. Then she becomes his babysitter and both of their lives change, but is it helping him or hurting them both?
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Lots of strong emotions suck you into this one.

Nixon and Zoe!!

This was my favorite book in the series though there were parts of Nixon and Zoe’s story that made me furious because of Nixon’s obnoxious and hurtful behavior. His automatic default setting is to demean and dismiss Zoe because he’s frustrated that his newfound sobriety forces him to face the consequences of his past behavior. Zoe is appealing because of her professionalism and her dedication to her career goals especially when Nixon’s crappy attitude threatens to derail her plans. I did come to admire Nixon when he left the music scene and the groupies behind to bask in the simple life in small town Colorado. Their fledgling romance is compelling as are the reasons for Nixon’s despair and I liked the epilogue featuring all three couples. The narration performances of Tim Paige and Carly Robbins were very enjoyable.

Just and good as the other books

I actually enjoyed this listen. Despite having different authors, the series has been engaging and entertainng. I was definately invested in this listen to the very end.

So so good

I was so mad at first bc I hadn’t realized it wasn’t released yet when I started the first two ( I have an instant gratification issue) but it was absolutely worth the constant checking, waiting on its release.

The best of 3!

Spoiler alert!!

This was the very best book of the series, I love both main Characters. Narrators were spot on. The only thing that was the tiniest of let downs was that the “big” secret was so VERY clearly not his fault and never could be and to have this man running around with THAT MUCH guilt I feel like it should have been something he accidentally caused and had to grow from. And the step mom was totally irrational and so was her lawer and didn’t fit super well into the story. But I absolutely loved the book regardless of any of that, and would for sure read it again!

Standout rock romance series

This is in my top three favorite series this year. Remarkably good, especially because each book was written by a different author. But the transitions from one to the next were seamless. Rich believable flawed human characters came together to defeat their personal demons and find happiness. Muses and Melodies wraps the series up and I cried when it was over. I will miss these characters like old friends.
