Publisher's summary

They survived the storm. They survived The Colony. But not everyone made it home. Not everyone made it back to the safety and security of the cabin.

Nila now faces yet more difficult choices. Protect her daughter and friends at all costs, or once again trust those who claim they can save the world.

With a possible cure on the horizon, what lengths will people go to in order to save the remainder of the human population?

I need more

This collection was so addicting. I listened to all four books back to back and I truly want more. The narrator did a much better job in this last installment as opresor to books 2 and 3, that felt very robotic.

What happened?

All other books were great and the narrator did fine, but .....this book she read the whole book like she was reading a Dick Tracy detective story.
I wish she stayed like she read book 2 & 3....smh

Good story, great performance.

As an apocalyptic fiction garbage disposal, I’ve read and listened to more than I’d like to admit to. The performance is a solid 8 maybe 9 if the story gave the performer more to work with, but the story is a meh +. I can’t exactly put my finger on what I don’t like. I think mainly, it feels like the writer didn’t know what the wand was , and was workout out along the way. Still, a solid read if you need a new “relaxing apocalyptic fiction” book to listen to while cleaning.

Love this series but...

This series is great but the narration of this one was subpar. Almost like they rushed it and didn't spend the time to do more than just read the text out loud. No emotion and overacted all at once.

Outstanding!

Fell in love with this series from the go, Jacqueline adds a great maternal aspect to the zombie apocalypse I hadn't really considered until now. And Kelsey, marry me.... I love her voice and talent.

Good variation

I like the variety of this in the post apocalyptic genre. A female voice is a good change and the overall story is well built and developed

Happy to buy this on a credit

So I listened to all three first books in the series through the Plus Catalog and then just had to buy this 4th one on credit to see how this series ended. I liked the plot continuation and development and enjoyed the story overall.
It is a short book and the narration is not great (monotonous mostly), but once you can look over that issue (pretend it is just a family member reading it to you instead), then it is an enjoyable story line. I was happy to spend that credit after having the other books through the Plus Catalog.
