Publisher's summary

USA Today and New York Times best-selling author Gaelen Foley is on fire - and things have never been hotter inside regency England's infamous Inferno Club. In My Irresistible Earl, the third book in the series, Foley takes listeners once more through the doors of the scandalous society of London aristocrats who hide their dangerous missions behind rumors of debauchery. My Irresistible Earl reunites a once abandoned beauty with the secretive rogue she has never stopped loving - and when the sparks start to fly you'll understand why Julia Quinn calls Gaelen Foley's books, "always fabulous".

Fantastic historical romance

Loved this story! Jordan and Mara are great characters and I really enjoyed following along as they renewed their relationship. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing the characters and story to life. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

A Spy with a second chance

Regency romances have always been a favorite of mine. I have read and listened to a few books by this author and enjoy her writing style. I thought the premise of this book was interesting and enjoyed the journey that Mara and Jordan took to find their happiness. I was greatly impressed by the narrator for having so many distinguishable voices for the various characters. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series. I have not yet listened to the other books in the series, but plan to start My Wicked Marquess next.

Lovely historical

Foley is definitely a go-to writer if you enjoy historical romance done sweetly. You can sit back and enjoy the escape of Mara and Jordan overcoming their hurdles to find their way to each other. Even when crafting a villain like Bloodworth, the surrounding story helps ameliorate the evil.
Hussey has a voice made for these Regency Historicals, and does a commendable job with various character voices. Sit back and enjoy the ride to HEA.

Great book -

Where does My Irresistible Earl rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I found this book very good, with a very good performance by Marian Hussey.. It's probably one of the better narrations I've heard in awhile.

What other book might you compare My Irresistible Earl to and why?

For the performance portion of it, it was as well narrated as the Outlander Series.

Which character – as performed by Marian Hussey – was your favorite?

Mara was my favourite..

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I do love historic romances, and this had just a touch of steamy sex in it.. (just enough).. Overall the story was very good and well presented

Any additional comments?

Second Chance Love

I didn't listen to the first two books in this series so I thought maybe I would be lost in the story but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a Regency Spy book with adventure, mystery, and love. I enjoyed the storyline of longing for Second Chances and the journey it takes. The narration was spot on and greatly enhanced the story. I will be checking out more in this series as well as other Gaelen Foley Books.

My least favorite of the series. Great Narration.

This was my least favorite of the series and not nearly as good as the second book which I thought was amazing. This one not so much. Kind of a struggle to be honest. I liked Jordan a lot. But really, Mara could be annoying at times.

I like the spy part of the book, but I have read much better spy books. I don't want to give too much away in my review. It wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. I just wish Jordan had a better stronger heroine. He deserved it since his character was awesome!

As for the narration, well really??? It was Marian Hussey so Amazingness is the word. I love her narrations. She does a great job on the male voices and everyone gets their own distinct voice and she reads with emotion. She has a fantastic reading voice too.

Not too shabby..

I definitely enjoyed this book. It had great romance and a great storyline. The only thing that was kind of annoying to me was how Jordan and Mara went from being ticked off at each other one day, to totally falling in love the next. There was really no transition from one to the other. The rest of the story was really enjoyable. I had not read the first two previous books, but I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything, or that I didn’t understand anything. There probably were some things I missed out on just because the previous stories will have had more storyline about the club and “The Order” but I certainly did not feel like I was missing out. I do, however, now feel the need to read the next book because we were left with a cliffhanger about a sub story character. Very smart there Ms. Gaelen Foley. Lol

The narrator did a great job. I have heard her before in a story by Brenda Joyce. (Splendor. Great book, I highly recommend it.) She isn’t my most favorite narrator, but If I saw her as the narrator for a story I would consider listening to it, unlike other narrators that you just run the other way from!

Thank you for the story!!
