About this listen

Quinn Caruthers has several problems: her father, Jason, and her three older brothers, Jared, Madoc, and Jaxon. Under the close watch of the men in her family, Quinn has found it nearly impossible to spread her wings - or even date - without them jumping in to hover. And when a family friend - several years older - from her childhood captures her heart, she knows they're going to be a problem. Lucas Morrow is a man - experienced, sophisticated, and important. And knowing her brothers, he may as well be forbidden.

But Lucas left town years ago and shows no signs of returning. Quinn knows she shouldn't wait for him anymore.

But then a package turns up on her doorstep with no return address and its contents reveal family secrets that threaten to turn Quinn's world upside down. She's never asked about the tumultuous path of her parents' romantic history, but she soon learns their happy marriage had a very rocky and passionate start.

As she begins to see things around her with new eyes, Quinn will have to make tough choices about whether she'll keep waiting...or finally go after what she really wants.

Contains mature themes.

Boy this one had a twist. Very clever devise used to tell the back story of a couple from the series. Best to listen to entire series. Loved it.

Surprised

By the time I read this book I was so invested in all the characters....I read withhaving constant goose bumps and a feeling of elation at the constant Revelation. Penelope weaved the story in such a way that you couldn't put it down. Two love stories in one! I love this author. Devil's night was the first series I read...it brought me back for more!

This author is a phenomenal story Weaver!

I absolutely love the series. But I don’t feel like it’s completely finished. The character development was great until this book. I wish there was more. What happened to Lucas, what happened with Hunter and Dylan? I really wish there was more!

Great series!

We go back in time to see how James & Kat get together. It was sweet but, nasty and real. I think us younger moms always fear this could be us! Perfect writing and fabulous narration. Well worth the Credit/money.

Sweet!!

While I did enjoy the story
This was not about Quinn and what’s just name
It was the story of her parents
It was very good.
Where are the follow up stories?
I can’t remember off the top of my head but I think it’s been more than a several years since this story was completed
I need more damnit!!

Very misleading

this is a great glimpse into the future of my favorite characters and the next generation. And I love the snippets of Katherine and Jason's past

So it turns out the several series are connected and I read them all out of order. I read Credence then Falls Boys, and then this series. Each of them so good but this series is meant to be read first. I recommend reading it in the intended order. I would have had I know.

Love this series

I really liked this story, but I think the audiobook would have been easier to understand if there had been another narrator or a better division in the parts where The book within the story was being read. I had some confusion and had to backtrack a few times because the switch between took me out of the story.
With that being said, I loved the idea of a book within a book - especially for what information was trying to be relayed.

Good story, but..
