Fun listen

I enjoy books written by Danielle Garrett and read by Amanda Ronconi. It's light hearted and upbeat and is great for rides to and from work.

I love this series!

I love this series but there’s a continuity error. In book 3 the woman’s name is Tabitha Hardwick but in book 4 she’s called Tabitha Blake. And at the start of book 5 she’s Hardwick again. It’s really made my eye twitch and kept pulling me out of the story. Otherwise great books!

So Much Fun!!

I’m not sure what all to say. Some of this series got a little boring but the characters themselves saved it. I absolutely loved the whole series though & the cat is THE BEST!! I love the snark. What fun!!

Dramatic and Climatic

I like these bundle books as you can really binge hard, especially when the plot really thickens after Book 3. While I couldn't stop listening, I don't care for some plots in the book and felt some Cora isn't a good main character when comparing to others in Danielle's series.

Narration is top notch.

The story continues

Purr-fect Potions: Nine Lives Magic Series, Book 4
We follow our main characters as they continue to hunt for their missing aunt. A famed treasure hunter came in to help solve the case. Before they can the story takes some twists and turns in some unexpected ways. We do get some more clues, but we’re also left hanging. What would a series be if it solved the mystery this quickly? Each book is an adventure and we learn more about the characters and ourselves. The crossovers from other stories continue which is great and hopefully we’ll see more of them.

Furry fortunes: Nine Lives Magic Series, Book 5
In the last book there was a betrayal and in this book there were. Well, read and find out. It was a good book which filled in some gaps and we got to see Selena and Corra bond which is very interesting. We get to see the softer side of people, but what is soft. This book definitely gives the appearance to be setting up the series to end in the next book, but I seriously doubt it given the other series by this author. As Selena would say, never count anything until you have it.

Tallsman tails: Nine Lives Magic Series, Book 6
Is this the end or beginning?
We get to learn more about the Golden Lotus in this book and just what happens when you cross at lavender. The sheriff is more concerned about winning an election than he does solving the case of lavender. In the end, we get to learn a lot about Celine and just what she’s capable of doing. Or actually the truth about Celine, which is interesting. Plus, we have the stage set for more books and series.

Can't Stand the Cat

I have listened to most of Danielle's books and really like them but the cat character Celine, in this line of stories is insufferable and completely ruins the books for me. She isn't just sarcastic, but also spoiled, entitled and is flat out rude to everyone including the owner. The lead character Cora, puts up with it and even begs the cat to stay at one point reminding me of a abusive co-dependant relationship. I enjoy Danielle's books because they are fun little mysteries but this set I'm gonna have to leave unfinished because my nerves are being grated the entire time. 4 books in and I just can't stand the cat anymore. Also, Amanda Ronconi does a superb job at narrating Danielle's books but the voice she chose for the cat on this one missed the mark for me which just adds to the unpleasantness of it all. There are many other series in her collection that I recommend but I would pass on these.
