About this listen

Lady Juliana, daughter of the Earl of St. Maur, needs all the help she can get. She's running a ramshackle orphanage, London's worst slumlord has illicit designs on her, and her father has suddenly become determined to marry her off.

Enter Major Neil Wraxall, bastard son of the Marquess of Kensington, sent to assist Lady Juliana in any way he can. Lucky for her, he's handy with repairs, knows how to keep her and the orphans safe, and is a natural leader of men.

Unfortunately for both of them, the scandal that ensues from their mutual attraction is going to lead them a merry dance....

Pretty Good Story

I enjoyed this story. It was nice. I enjoyed the orphanage story line and plot.
Julianna was spunky and I liked her a lot. I liked Neil a lot too.

It was a nice historical romance. Not much of a review here I know, but this was just a nice story.

As for the narration, it was good, not the best not the worst.

it's okay but the female lead is so annoying

The female lead is just too annoying and stupid, she is just some foolish rich girl who keeps making bad decisions for which others have to pay the price and try to save her. At some point I actually wanted her to die :)

No Earl's Allowed

I love that Shana Galen isn't afraid to use flawed characters as well as stubborn, resourceful, fiery ones. This story keeps your interest and emotions in line until the very end. Victoria Aston deserves at least 5 Stars for her amazing narration which so perfectly brought the story to life. Once again, Shana Galen presents us with a spellbinding story that tugs at your emotions. Wonderful audiobook!💗

Loving this series

Great personalities all around. Unusual stories. And Victoria Aston's narration is very pleasant. Can't wait to dive into the next book.

Silly storyline and lots of mispronounced words

I couldn't get past the first hour. The story is ridiculous and too modern in its sensibilities. The reader mispronounces some pretty basic words. Too distracting. I'm returning and making a note to myself to avoid any Shana Galen books in the future.
