About this listen

In Allison Brennan's New York Times best seller, No Good Deed, a kingpin in the Mexican drug trade wants revenge against FBI Agent Lucy Kincaid

"Brennan [is] a master...compelling and complex." (Associated Press)

Lucy Kincaid understands the dangers of corruption. As an FBI agent, she has witnessed some very bad deeds committed by seemingly good people. That's why she's glad to see corrupt DEA Agent Nicole Rollins behind bars for murder, conspiracy, and gunrunning. But when Rollins makes a daring escape - jeopardizing a busload of children and killing five officers - Lucy becomes the key to the biggest manhunt in Texas history...and the target of a brilliant killer.

"The Lucy Kincaid/Sean Rogan novels just keep getting better!" (RT Book Reviews)

Some believe Rollins has fled the country. But Lucy suspects her plan is far more sinister - a taunting game of cat and mouse that hits much closer to home. First, an FBI agent with a connection to Texas is killed in Washington. Then, Kane Rogan disappears on a mission. When Rollins ups the ante again, Lucy is determined to save the people she loves - before her enemy strikes again. Time is running out. The body count is rising. Rollins wants more than revenge-she wants to destroy everything Lucy holds dear....

Great story, not so great narrator

I always enjoy Allison Brennan books, especially the Lucy Kincaid series. However I think I would have enjoyed No Good Deed more if I had read it and not listened. Narrator is way too dramatic and sometimes makes the female characters sound weak and whiny.

Good story, poor narrator.

I enjoyed the continuation of the Kincaid series. However, the narrator was terrible. She read the book like she was presenting to a second grade class. The women were portrayed as whiny and weak. No real distinction between the male character voices.

Another Great Installment

I absolutely loved this book! I have loved the Lucy Kincaid Series for as long as I can remember and this book definitely didn't let me down! My favorite parts were the emotions with Sean and Lucy and the slight change in Kane! No doubt another favorite of 2018 just like Best Laid Plans! Can't wait to get started with the next book in three or four days!!

Good story, narrator ruined it

What did you like best about No Good Deed? What did you like least?

The storyboard complex and interesting. The way the narrator portrayed Lucy made her out to be weak and hysterical. I am ordering another in the series, read by a different narrator, just to find out if the series is good.

What didn’t you like about Ann Marie Lee’s performance?

The tone of voice the narrator used for everything except male characters was sugary, breathy and often ended in a questioning tone. She made the females sound weak and the overall narration very hard to listen to. I won't listen to anything else read by Ann Marie Lee.

Not as good as the others

Too many references & going over what happened in the prior book made this longer than it should have been. Main character, Lucy, sounds like a whinny child with no confidence; her partners & team don't like her and don't seem to want her around. Her own family can't trust her emotions. I really expected her to be stronger and an asset to the family by now.

Nothing new here

Would you try another book from Allison Brennan and/or Ann Marie Lee?

Really disappointed after all the great reviews for this author. The reader was hard to listen to and the story was the same old, same old. Maybe it's me, but there was nothing new here I could see or appreciate.
