Story
Decker Davenport is on a deadline. He has 30 days - Christmas Eve, to be exact - to remodel a St. Augustine Victorian house, or the owner will put it back on the market. Not a good time for Decker’s decorator to take off on a honeymoon, leaving him with Annalise Owens, a stand-in with a malaise he isn’t privy to. But as he watches Annalise work miracles on the house and his daughter, he realizes the two of them have bonded in some ethereal way, as if they’ve always known each other.

Story
My name is Savannah Miller. My father is the mayor of New York. One day, after my 27th birthday, I was grabbed from behind. A cloth sack was quickly pulled over my head, and I was taken from everything I'd ever known. I was beaten, starved, treated like an animal, and forced to live in a room with no windows. With no sense of time and no dignity left, I finally gave up hope and made a promise to myself to end it all. Unfortunately, it was going to be a slow process.

Story
There are two little girls in the photo. I instantly recognize myself as the small, dark-haired child in the purple dress. But who is the girl with the long, blonde hair laughing at the camera? And why is the photograph here, in a stranger’s house? When I find the tattered picture hidden away at the back of a dusty cupboard in Amy’s house, my mouth goes dry with shock. Though I haven’t known Amy for very long, I love looking after her young children, in her picture-perfect hilltop house with its sprawling wildflower garden and bright, airy kitchen.

I can't say they didn't warn me. Right now, I realize: I probably should have listened. Because if there's anyone who has no business playing a sport that requires a helmet, pads, and a liability waiver, it's this girl. Story
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

No Perfect Book
Interesting premise; interesting characters. It tried to add romance awkwardly at best. It just needed some editing to round it out. It wasn't so awkward that I couldn't finish.

sweet and hilarious
I absolutely fell in love with Frank. As the story unfolds you will understand why. Anna is one of the most admirable characters I can think of. If I were in her shoes I'm not sure I would deal with even near how she did. For all the crazy drama that revolved around Anna I found myself laughing out loud numerous times.

The story was good
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I thought the story was good. This was my first time listening you a story and I read along with the e-book. I got bored easily until I facilitated you could change the speed and then I was fine. My one big issue is that the reader made all the women sounds like old ladies, even the young ones. If Anna didn't have an older voice, she had an unsure and hesitant voice.

Very good contemporary romantic suspense book.
What did you love best about No Perfect Secret?
The best part was showing that even though Anna was continually knocked down by the man she called 'husband' yet with support she overcame the hurt, pain and embarrassment. It shows the human spirit and strength.
What other book might you compare No Perfect Secret to and why?
Not really sure there's one book in particular but this book is somewhat about second chances and the power of friendships.
Have you listened to any of Gary Roelofs’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, this is the first audio book that I've read with Gary Roelof' s voice. His reading is clear, easy to understand and he does a good job projecting feelings and emotions.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have liked to read it all at one time but it was broken up into several segments due to 'life' happening.
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this contemporary romance. It had a good balance of intrigue, suspense and romance. It was nice to see the lead female characters as well as several others were intelligent yet compassionate women. I don't think there's any thing I'd change bout Anna's character. Frank was a strong yet supportive main male charActer who didn't go overboard alpha. Many of the supporting characters had major impacts on the lives of the main ones. Lila, Helen, Dr Neal, Mr Charles as well as Clarence and Jojo influenced the other characters. I received a free copy of this book from the author solely in exchange for an honest review. I look forward to reading other books published by Ms Weger.

Loved the story, narrator not so much
The story in No Perfect Secret was great! It was a great love story in the midst of horrible circumstances. I can't believe everything Anna went through, luckily Frank was so sweet and patience. Frank was a great character, he was farmer at heart and not quite in the 21st century. This provided a lot of laughs at Frank's expense. Anna had a strength about her that was very impressive.
My only complaint is the narrator. He sounds like an older gentleman. It didn't fit with the story. The story was good enough for me to get past my issue with the narrator.

Loved it! Couldn't stop listening!
This is a relaxing, entertaining book to listen to. I was SO routing for the main character and enjoyed hearing how everything played out for her. The narrator did a great job, his voice and tone were easy to listen to and he kept the focus on the story. I would listen to this while I cooked, gardened and while in the car. Weger's story was a great companion during my day. Very enjoyable!
