About this listen

When the wedding planner ends up married to the bad boy best man, she discovers how deliciously dangerous it can be to mix business with pleasure.

I plan weddings for a living, I never planned to get married myself…

Making my clients' wedding dreams come true is my calling, so when the would-be happy couple ask for help in escaping the press, I say yes… to fake marrying the best man.

Finn DeWitt is pure sin in a suit, a rich player as outrageously hot as he is infuriatingly annoying. We have a history—the one-night kind—but we're utterly unsuited. How I wake next to him thoroughly honeymooned and truly married, I just don't understand.

Things can't possibly get any worse.

Oh, wait.…

I agreed to spend the next six days with him. Pretending to be in love. On an exclusive honeymoon resort. With only one bed.

It isn't long before the lines blur between what's real and what's fake. But we're not meant to be together. Things haven't changed. Because I've always been a good girl and Finn is definitely No Saint.

The first book was pretty good and sweet, and held my attention. This one was very confusing in the beginning and the story line just didn’t hold my attention. The female narrator doing the male voice was not very good. There is a third book coming in September, I hope it is as good as the first.

This book was not very good.

I am not sure if the female character was meant to be so annoying or was it by the Narrator. I hated everytime the narrator read her portion. Her male voice for the Hero did not match the character. It sounded liked a dope head high as a kite and not educated. Compared to when the male narrator read his part, the character sounded more pollished and accurate. @ hours in and I just couldnt take it any longer.

Annoying Female Character

He falls first!
He helps heal her in ways she didn’t even know she needed. He shows his love for her before confessing it, gosh! He’s completely swoon worthy!

Absolutely loved it!

Swinging

I loved the ending, and I really enjoyed the funny side of the book. It was a decent read for sure. However, the overall book was quite underwhelming.

It was okay.

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 Cute narration with gorgeous accents. I especially loved the short delay in getting John Lane’s narration. I smirked so hard during his first chapter because the sunny, flirty characterization is so great.
🤩 The whole mustache conversation is fantastic. When Fin is thinking, “Hey, Mila, I’ve shaved a seat for you.” LOL!
🤩 Fake is one of my favorites, and I really liked the situation for this one.
🤩 The short amnesia part of the plot is very fun!
🤩 A little shower self-pleasure is quite good in the slow burn. Even, especially?, when it’s interrupted.
🤩 Vacation/temporary fling with a theme of fulfilling fantasies. Yeah, I’m definitely saying the slow burn is very worth it—the steamy scenes are deliciously detailed.
🤩 Fin, the MMC, is a great character—I love how he’s a sunshiny billionaire and also how he’s down bad for this girl.
🤩 I love Mila and Fin together—they banter so well. It’s LOL hilarious.

What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 I love the accents of the narrators, but I didn’t love the female narrator’s male voice.
💫 I wish the first interaction (one night stand) would have been extra detailed with the door wide open to make it stand out from the amnesia situation later.
💫 I never quite loved the female MC because of her wishy-washiness maybe.
💫 I think I stopped paying good attention in chapter 26 just because Mila was not coming around.

Fun fake wedding/marriage situation & lots of banter!

This was an excellent audiobook. The story & narration were great. John & Zara were flawless. Finn is definitely my kind of hero 🖤

Loved this one😍

The female main character was obnoxious in her denials. The female narrator sounds like she’s channeling Ted from Bill and Ted’s. I liked the male lead and narrator for the most part. The first book in this series was much better.

Eh could be better

I could barely get through the book bc of the FMC being soo annoying and judgmental. She did NOT deserve the MMC. She was so good to her. She didn’t grow at all as a character. Beyond annoying

Worst FMC

I don’t normally dislike these narrators but they just didn’t do Donna Alam’s humor any favors with their delivery. The pacing and the way they didn’t differentiate between internal thoughts and spoken words really took a lot away from the story and your understanding of character dynamics. Better to just read it.

Read the book.
