About this listen

Ard and his anchors are off to the capital, but not without his Congratulations—you’re-a-mage horse. Ard has to figure out what it means to be a noble as he struggles with the politics of the capital, fierce beasts and even fiercer rivals. All the while a goddess slips into his household as the staff and works to watch over him and his mother.

Ard has his work cut out for him, but is the capital ready for him? He’s determined to make a mockery of fashion and see what all he can get away with as a not so subtle ‘screw you’ to the new rules he’s been placed under.

Really good

So the error that occurs on chapter 12 wasn't a big deal to me because I think when it happens it's at the end of ch12 but instead of going into 13 it stay at 12 with stuff from a future chapter so I just skipped into 13 and moved on. now while I liked the story I think book 1 was better,
here we just see how incompetent and inexperienced Ard truly is and with was kinda painful to listen and then with cyam he does something that's supposed to be only for 4 spheres mages and hopefully he develops that power because apparently he just suck at everything else according to anyone who taught him magic this book

good stuff just, enjoyable banter and characters

Its pretty good the banter and characters are enjoyable, nothing to over the top and makes you chuckle every now and then … my only issue would be what happened at the end, it was funny but i’m confused on how it would works … logically … i guess the soul is cognitive but at the same time its not portrayed that way because it seems to be overwritten by the needs or pleasure or brain damage of the body … so that’s my problem with the end also i hate loose ends .. no pun intended (have to read the end to get it)… cheers

4 magics and 4 women.

Our powerful hick MC from the middle of nowhere is now getting more politically savvy.
He's rubbing shoulders with the elite and making a lot of them very angry.
But he also has women throwing themselves at him everywhere he goes.
He's getting stronger and more educated so he can survive.
I'm giving this book 8 out of 5 stars.

decent

I really hope Ard does some maturing tbh. He's starting to annoy me a bit. Either that or it's the narrator but I think it's really just Ard. ALSO bringing modern slang into story settings like this is a big taboo for me and really ruins things for me.

Excellent second Novel

The good: ard’s adventures continue on. Now his adventures began in the capital of the country. Old allies, new adventures, and new threat appear both in front of our hero, and in the background some he can see, and some he has yet to face!

The bad: book is still an enjoyable. Listen, the female narrator still has a tendency to use much the same voice for most of the main characters love interests!

The ugly: nothing particularly stands out in this vein, other than I wish the book had been a little bit longer, and some elements had not taken place

All in all, a terrific, second installment in the series and cannot wait for book 3 to be recorded!

Next book is Maribelle!!!

I love the additions to the cast and can't wait for the next book. Always love a yandere maid. Ard is a fun character and I love the jokes and story's he tells.

the out of place events.

towards the end of chapter 12 it skips way into the story, talking about a character that isn't introduced until later in the story.

there is one more place where the story repeats itself, but I forgot which chapter, I want to say after chapter 15.
