About this listen

They say that behind every great man is a great woman, but what if that woman is a werewolf?

Terry and Char cross the Wastelands returning to New Boulder carrying a message of hope. They'd found a better place. Could they move the whole town there, and would it be safer?

They have a lead on Terry's white whale, a secure military facility.

What will they find and can they break in?

The Forsaken, the vampires of the new world, aren't afraid of a werewolf or her mate. But Terry and Char aren't afraid of the Forsaken either.

That TH sure gets around

*Spoilers* TH & Char ride back to get the people of New Boulder on the road. They run into some bad situations, but end up adopting Kaeden. They arrive back shortly after the power plant dies, and get things moving; but collect the FDG to go after TH's "white whale" first. Retrieving supplies & trucks comes at a high cost, but also cuts the trip time to a fraction.

Meanwhile, the people in No Chicago find that the power plant in the Naval Station offers a better starting place than the larger commercial power station, and offers shelter, too. Timmons doesn't listen to Kiwi's warnings, but the severity of his injuries allows his hand to heal back with the rest of his body. In hunting down the mini cooper reactor, they also confront the Forsaken. Ted has fun with steam;-)

Kate Rudd does well with the narration, she starts to blend into the background of the story. Hope she gets better at pronouncing the full name of the FDG. Recommend all books in this series.

It's like the sci- fi version of a John Ford movie.

You Can See in your head, Instead of John Wayne, you have Col. Henry what's be the rest of his name is. And instead of fluffy woman Henry. Gets wonderful character actress's who was i also in the film version AHHÀ

Third time for this one first on Audible

This story gets better every time. Craig Martelle has created a world full of well developed characters that you can’t help but cheer for.

The narrator, Kate Rudd, has done an awesome job of bringing those characters to life. Her voices are well developed and there is no doubt who is speaking when she does the main characters.

A well written and professionally read work.
