Great book and narration

Kate Rudd did a fantastic narration of this book. I used this book as a jumping point to start the bad company series as Valerie’s elites series. So glad I did. This shows how both the main characters of each series got from earth to the stars. Start here, it’s well worth it.

Good story, poor reader

As with the Terry Henry Walton Chronicles audiobooks, Kate Rudd is a poor reader for this book. She has issues with foreign languages, even those used in every day life, and her characters “voices” are basically the same across each one. I’m not certain who is speaking sometimes, a male character, a female character, an alien or the narrator. Do yourself a favor and don’t listen to this book if you can help it. Just read it.
