About this listen

Considerate. Loves dogs. Walks old ladies across the street. Loves me no matter what I look like.

We all have a list of our dream man’s ideal qualities - even if it’s just in our head.

And okay, mine might be written in swirly script, laminated, and used as a bookmark for my favorite Jane Austen novel.

You know what’s not on my list? Arrogant. Impatient. Distractingly sexy. In other words, mega-successful department store magnate Blake Hudson is everything I’m not looking for.

Unfortunately, I may have ruined his life a little bit when I got creative on my first day as a personal shopper. And unless I want to see my new career go up in flames, I’m stuck with the world’s smuggest billionaire until I fix everything I’ve broken.

Find the hottest toy of the season for an overindulged niece? On it. Pose as his date at his company’s annual gala, to fool his obsessed ex - and let him fake-flirt with me all night long? Uh oh, this could be trouble.

Let Blake see me safely home - and then let him make me see stars? Wait, that wasn’t on my list….

Doesn’t matter. Moving on. I will not let Blake Handsome - I mean Blake Hudson - defeat me with his To-Do List of Impossibility, or his pillow-soft lips, or his secretly tender heart, or the swell of his biceps, or…oops. I seem to have forgotten where I was going with this, but if I can’t remember, I’m shopping for nothing but heartbreak.

Love the peaches! 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑

Beautiful crafted story with surprises. Strong characters that may you fall in love. My struggle was with the narrators, they both have strong beautiful voices. Lynhurst’s voice reminds me Ava Erickson with a beautiful Southern accent because of her character, if is her accent I loved it and is suitable for any narration, beautiful! On the other hand, I also loved Mitchell narration; however, at the first chapters, he was going too fast, which is not his fault because I am 100% sure that he fowled the director’s instructions. Overall, it is a fell good story that made me laugh. Happy reading.💕🍑

Winona'd it

Fun yet emotional Story. Winona is a carefree sunshine girl. Blake is a workaholic and control freak, but the moment Winona goes after him for ruining her sleep, from a construction site he is overseeing for a friend she gets in his face wearing her pj's and curlers in her hair and of course locking herself out of her place she reads him the disturbance laws. Blake falls for the spunky Georgia peach with a list of requirements for the perfect man and he has none of those traits. Their banter and snarkiness and his trying to get rid of her when she snags a job at his Family's Store is hilarious. The secondary characters add to the story. As they both fight and lose against their attraction and Blake realizes there is more to life than work, Winona is the one to show him. But Blake is holding onto the past he believes is true, and when the truth is ugly and comes to light he reels with the betrayal. There is sadness, laughs, anger, hurt and forgiveness before they can reach their HEA.

Story is ok but…

The narrators make it hard to get into the story. The southern accents are cringe and some tones are a bit exaggerated for the moment.

Really liked!

This book is pretty great! The characters are well written and the story is fairly original and not overdone.

The narrators did a great job with the single exception of the butler. It would have been nice if the narrators had collaborated on the accent.

The story takes as long as it needs to - it’s not too long or too short. There is no down time and no need to skip chapters - no boredom here!

Definitely recommend - worth a credit!

oh my what in heaven name are cringe voices

i just started reading this book and spent $27.99. That's a lot of money but i loved the synapses of the book. But the male with the female voice and the female with the male voice, it's absolutely horrible, worse then nails across a chalkboard. It makes me cringe really bad. But when they use their own voices, it's pretty good. i sometimes wonder if the writer or the individuals reading for pages even read our comments. if
you're going to charge so much money,.make it worth it. Now i have to drag my poor ears thru this book which i was so excited about listening too. The rating is a 2 star because of the voices.
