About this listen
Treena and Vance think they've escaped the numbers game forever. They're wrong.
After Treena's disastrous attempt to unite the nation, she has the deaths of hundreds haunting her dreams. Now, with hatred and accusations following her past the border, she's determined to leave that horrible day behind and find a peaceful, uneventful life with Vance and the settlers. But when she starts seeing mysterious figures hiding in the abandoned cities at night and uncovers a strange desert population, she realizes there's a danger much greater than NORA to worry about - and she just abandoned her people to their fate.
Vance is a prisoner. Being rejected by the girl he loves and put on trial for betraying his clan are bad enough, but now he's been framed for a crime he never committed. Their less-than-perfect refuge has become the political game of a madman, and Vance is the only one who can stop it - if he can keep from being executed first.
Treena and Vance are still very much in the game, and this time it will take everything they have to save those they love.

Story
"Happily Ever After" wasn't supposed to come with a do-over option. But when my husband of 20 years packs up and heads for greener pastures, and my son heads away to college, that's exactly what my midlife becomes. A do-over. This time, though, I plan to do things differently. Age is just a number, after all, and at 40 I'm ready to carve my own path. Eager for a fresh start, I make a somewhat unorthodox decision and move to a tiny town in the Sierra foothills.

Story
It was supposed to be easy: find the drug maker. Find her, and drag her back to the dragons to deal with. She deserves death for what she's done. For someone like Weston, the best alpha in the world, the one who shuts people up just by walking in the room, it would've been. Until he learns what she is. Finding a fated mate is nearly impossible. Very few are able to do it. But the call of their bond is unmistakable. Against all odds, and in the worst situation imaginable, he's found his true mate. Her.

Story
There is no sun. There is no moon. There is only gray - the smog belched from coal-fueled factories. The Workers silently shuffle to their assigned posts. The Outcasts watch from the alley walls. On every corner, a Watcher stands stone-faced, a rifle in hand. This is the only life that exists. Beyond the mountains is a dream. But dreams are foolish in a place like this. Hannah has spent 19 years dodging Watchers and doing as she is told. When she wakes to the valley exploding in revolution, Hannah is forced onto a dangerous path, where nothing is what she believed.

It means privilege, eternal beauty, and being something other than a secretary. But Adelice isn’t interested.

Story
When out-of-shape IT technician Roen wakes up and starts hearing voices in his head, he naturally assumes he’s losing it. He isn’t. As of last night, he has a passenger in his brain - an ancient alien life-form called Tao, whose race crash-landed on Earth before the first fish crawled out of the oceans. Over the millennia his people have trained human heroes to be great leaders, to advance our species at a rate far beyond what it would have achieved on its own. Split into two opposing factions - the peace-loving, but under-represented Prophus, and the savage, powerful Genjix - the aliens have been in a state of civil war for centuries.

I bought the first book in this series when I realized this was the second so I would be up to speed. Dang, I got hooked fast. So happy to have discovered Rebecca Rode. Stacey Glemboski's narration was a perfect fit.I am looking forward to more! I love finding books with new dystopian twists. So, I really need to know what's going on and I need book 3 asap guys!
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I am so grateful that I was because it really is a great story.

Amazing!!!
I loved how you get to see Trina and Vance grow into the people that they should be without all the drama of NORA. Getting to see them shaping into the amazing people they are meant to be even with all the underhandedness going on around them and all the lies and games is really awesome. It's wonderful to see someone show that just because your situation is bad doesn't mean you have to sink down to everyone else's level. I can't believe how there is so much corruption at the top no matter which government it is. I know that is how it really is a lot of the time in everyday life anyway but it still shocks me that people can be that way even seeing all the suffering that they cause because they treat people so wrong. I love reading about someone who is standing up and working to make a difference and a better place for the rest of the world. Stacy did an amazing job as usual and I can't wait to hear what she brings to the rest of the series. She's so amazing at bringing so much emotion to the books she narrates it makes the book even more amazing than it already was.

perfect sequel
Any additional comments?
Such a great sequel to Numbers Game! Numbers Ignite was fast-paced and action-packed, and avoided the pitfalls so many middle-of-a-trilogy books fall into. Treena and Vance are apart for most of the book, which initially I wasn't sure about, but Rode makes each of their stories equally gripping, so that I enjoyed swapping between the two characters. I was lucky enough to listen to the audio version, and the narrator also did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. Another great read!

Keep Them Coming!
Would you consider the audio edition of Numbers Ignite to be better than the print version?
Don't know, only listened to it.
What other book might you compare Numbers Ignite to and why?
The Catalyst Series because it is slightly different in it's approach to a possible EOTWAWKI genre.
Which character – as performed by Stacey Glemboski – was your favorite?
Still Vance.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
I was provided this free review copy audio-book by the author or narrator." This review is for the audio copy of Numbers Ignite: Numbers Game Saga Book 2 by Rebecca Rode and narrated by Stacey Glemboski. The story continues and it is still very interesting and kept me engaged and listening as much as possible. The character development was maintained, the story line continues to be not what I expect. It continues to be a refreshing change from the norm. Stacey did a great job, again, in narrating the story. She makes it come alive in my mind. As stated in my previous review of book 1 this is a series, but as it stands you can stop if you wished with the book with some amount of closure. But, it left me wanting to know more of what develops and where the plot and story line can go. I will definitely continue reading (listening to) this series and the other shorts. Keep up the great work Rebecca and Stacey!

Numbers sequel is an alright follow up
Any additional comments?
I received this book in exchange for my honest review from Audiobook Boom/Blast.
Numbers Ignite was a good middle book. But that is definitely what it is - a transitional middle book in a series. It has the job of bridging the chaos and setting up the plot for the big finale by agitating the problem, or creating a new one. And this book? It created a new one. Yes, NORA is trouble and Treena's escapades in the first book showed us we couldn't expect anything good from that government structure. But Numbers Ignite showed us what is going on outside of NORA's walls, and a lot is going on.
The second book shows us the outside settlements and tribes and explores issues with their leadership structures. I felt that too much time was spent frolicking in the first half of the book. I guess frolicking isn't the right word since Treena "Amy" was recovering from a snake bite, but not much was happening at first. I also felt this book was getting heavy in the political aspects of leadership, and that's kind of where my eyes start to glaze over (or my ears tune out, as it were).
The ending was great, though. Treena and Vance find each other in scary circumstances, their survival isn't certain. The end of the book is where the plot just explodes with information. NORA is bad, yes, but there's another entity out there that is even more menacing. It all leads up to whatever will happen in the next book. So, now we wait.

Just as Good as the First
In many of the YA series, the first book is usually the best, but I thought that this book was just as good as the first book. I listened to almost the entire thing in one day. I thought that I knew the direction this book would go, but I was pleasantly surprised.
This book picks up where the last one left off. I will say that if you haven't already listened to the last book that you should definitely go back and get that one first...
Narrator was also great as usual.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

Would you listen to Numbers Ignite again? Why?
I would the series..this is a great story!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Numbers Ignite?
When Treena enters the jail...
Which scene was your favorite?
When Treena confronts Dresden...
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes!
Any additional comments?
I love this series...and cant wait for the next one! Treena is betrayed by her people and her empress title is stolen from her by her boyfriend...saying that since she had been injured and was in a coma, it was the right decision....Well Treena says No Dice and escapes Nora, in search of Vance! While in the desert she is bitten by a snake and almost dies, but is rescued by another clan of people that have lived peacefully underground for a long while...well war is in the air..and they have to escape...Treena goes ahead and finds Vance...but he is about to be executed....Treena has to figure out how to save the day...and even though a lot of peoples lives are lost...Treena strikes a deal with Dresden to try and make peace...gets to be with Vance and hopefully save everyone in the process!
SUPER GREAT AND I NEED BOOK 3 ASAP!!!!

We Don't Need No Stinking Numbers
Since it had been seven months since I read book 1 of the Numbers Game Saga I re-listened to it prior to Numbers Ignite. I was glad I did as I picked up on several things I missed the first time and re-fell in love with the characters. I really enjoy books that have hidden nuggets that I pick up on subsequent reads.
Rebecca Rode does a fabulous job of hooking the listener/reader from the start with well-rounded main characters, a cast of well-placed and written side characters, and visuals of the world they live in.
The two character POV (point of view) works well with this story as both Treena and Vance continue to grow as they learn about themselves and the world they were born into. I eagerly await the next chapter to this series.
Stacey Glemboski’s narration was wonderful. Each character had its own personality and voice. I am especially impressed with her male voices, some of which are ‘yummy’. I was very pleased that between Rode’s prose and Glemboski’s narration the characters jumped off the page giving me a full surround sound & vision brain movie.
I hope dystopia/post apocalyptic books like this will influence their audiences enough to smack some sense into the human race. Gearing this book towards the teenage reader is an excellent start. This series is also very enjoyable for those of all ages.

Well Worth the Credit !!
Any additional comments?
Great sequel. Just as good as the first book.
Well written, entertaining, engaging and enjoyable. All around fantastic story.
Did not want it to end.
This book starts off where the Number's Game ended. Right off the bat were right back into the action with Treena getting bitten by a rattlesnake. She is rescued by Coltrain(?) who is a member of an underground community outside of NORA.
Vance as part of his previous deal is now a prisoner and being taken to where his remaining clan members are. The story alternates back and forth between what is happening with Treena and Vance. With Nora still after Treena and Vance facing a death sentence time is ticking for each of them.
This is a series I will be recommending often.
Well done! Stacey Glemboski did a fantastic job with the narration. Great character voices. Nice smooth even pace. She was able to convey all the characters emotions and make them come to life. She is the perfect narrator for this series.

Compelling and Adventurous Dystopian Series!
Any additional comments?
Numbers Ignite by Rebecca Rode is an exciting second book in the Numbers Game series. I mentioned in my review of the first book that the overall story arc is immensely compelling and reminiscent of the classic The Handmaid's Tale with its "new world order" destined to fail because citizens are not given certain basic freedoms. This series definitely fills the void left after the Divergent and Hunger Games series ended.
Numbers Ignite picks up soon after Numbers Game ends, so you should definitely read them in order. Treena and Vance are separated after their failed attempt to unite NORA and the splinter groups living outside the city. Much to my surprise, they remain separated throughout most of the book. Vance is imprisoned for the actions he inflicted on his people while serving in the NORA army, as well as being charged and convicted of crimes he did not commit, for which he is quickly sentenced to death. Treena uncovers a secret attempt to overthrow the NORA government and she tries to convince the outsiders to join her and warn them of the upcoming invasion. She has a natural gift of leadership and knowing when to stand by her beliefs. Likewise Vance has a great inner strength that shines through most when his back is up against the wall.
I listened to the Audible version of this book narrated by Stacey Glemboski, who did an outstanding job. She provided distinct and consistent voices for all characters throughout and had great intonation and pace, conveying urgency in all the right places. I received a copy of this audio in exchange for an unbiased review.
